TVB announces sequel for Ghetto Justice

Kevin Cheng, Myolie Wu and Sharon Chan attended the promotional event for TVB series, Ghetto Justice, recently. They celebrated the high ratings achieved by the series.

A few days ago, the top news in HK entertainment was Myolie's rumoured boyfriend, Bosco Wong was secretly photographed in his house in his birthday suit. Kevin Cheng expressed that the government should take this incident seriously and address this issue.

TVB has made the decision to block the two publications (Sudden weekly & FACE) from all their events and prohibit them from interviewing any TVB artistes for two months. Kevin says that his is just a temporary measure and is not addressing the matter at its core. After two months, then everything will be back to what it was before.

Myolie's mood has notably improved, appearing rather relaxed at the event. Myolie expressed that the unhappy events are over and she does not wish to talk about the issue anymore. Having been in the industry for some time now, Myolie says she has an understanding of the "media-artiste relationship".

When asked about Bosco's mood, Myolie shares, "some magazines' work as the media turns into peeping tom, using their cameras to go violate a person's privacy and think that as long as they are under the 'freedom of news' hat that they can just do anything. There is also a limit in making news, using the camera to violate a person's privacy is way over."

Good news for fans of LAW BA
Ghetto Justice will have a sequel and filming will begin as early as October. The sequel will feature the original [GJ] cast and it will also revolves around the legal genre. As to whether it is a direct or indirect sequel, this is still unclear. Also, the producer, Tong Kei Ming, has resigned as such the sequel will be produced by Chan Wai Koon. Producer Tong shares that he has plans to film a movie version of Ghetto Justice but it all depends on Kevin and Myolie's availability.

Kevin Cheng and Myolie Wu: A bickering pair of lovers

Kevin Cheng and Myolie Wu portray a bickering couple in TVB's latest series Ghetto Justice. This is not the first collaboration for this duo, it is actually their third. And as the saying goes - third time's the charm! Their third collaboration bears excellent fruit with amazing chemistry, much to the audiences' delight.

Myolie explains, "previously, we collaborated in Strictly Come Dancing 2 and Burning Flame 3. Perhaps in [BF3], our roles were more restrain and there isn't much noise when we come together! This time, Kevin's role is very playful, breaking through that handsome look he had in the past. He's laid back and ghetto, in fact he is just being himself!"

Myolie is full of praise for her wonderful co-star, calling Kevin the "good-deal King"! "Actually there isn't just Moses Chan as the good deal in TVB, Kevin is also a good one! I do hope to have some rumors with him!" jokes Myolie.

Kevin says the good ratings achieved boosts his confidence level. "I am not shooting series for awards, good public response wins over everything!" Kevin explains. Myolie shares Kevin's thought and adds, "the viewers' taste is hard to guess, but we had a great time shooting this series. Perhaps, the viewers enjoy watching us bicker!"

Kevin also complimented Myolie, saying that she is a good girl and has tremendous talent. ""I am just a normal single man, still haven't found a girlfriend. Although Myolie is a good girl, but unfortunately she is unavailable! Haha!" says Kevin in jest.

The series is zooming in to the last 5 episodes this week but the viewers have yet to see the much talked about kissing and make out scenes by the pair. Myolie explains that she was initially quite shy but they communicate before filming and managed to complete the scenes in one or two takes.

Kevin recalled a scene that was quite intense. He revealed that he discussed the positions with Myolie earlier and once filming begins, he will not add or subtract movements. Kevin reasons that any unplanned positions may scare off any girl.

In Ghetto Justice, Kevin has numerous bold performances including him exposing his butt-crack in the first episode. He also ran around the house in nothing but a towel. "The script initially had me reveal just my underwear, but my choice of underwear is just too clean, doesn't fit LA LAW's character. In the end, the director told me to pull my pants down a little more, it's pretty ok!"Kevin shares even more.

Synopsis:
L.A. Law (or Law Lik Ah) is a noted barrister in Hong Kong's legal circle. However, 7 years ago, he disappeared from the legal circle and nobody knows what had befall him.

L.A. Law used to practice law for the fame and glory it brings but soon realises that everyone is entitled to equal legal representation. As such, together with his cousin, George Mike Jr., and best friend, Ting Ka Fu, L.A. Law sets up a legal practice in Sham Sui Po. Soon, L.A. Law became the "people's hero" in Sham Sui Po as he helped the neighbours fight for their rights and injustice with his unconventional tactics.

Upcoming Barrister, Wong Sze Fu, used to admire and look up to L.A. Law for his invincible performances in court. However upon learning of his present situation, she starts to disregard him for turning himself in to a ghetto lawyer.

Sze Fu's impression of L.A. Law changes once she worked with him on several legal cases and the two inevitably fall in love.

Sze Fu still maintains her dream of becoming a elite barrister. To advance in her career, she takes every opportunity to get close to renowned barrister, Cheung Pak Kei. Unknown to her, Barrister Cheung enjoys getting people in to trouble and Sze Fu is no exception. Not long after, Sze Fu finds herself embroiled in a lawsuit. Having no other option, L.A. Law has to challenge the low to save her.

Indian Wedding attire for Cast of Only You

Kevin Cheng, Yoyo Mung, Krystal Tin, Evergreen Mak were among the cast of Only You who attended a promotional event recently. The group appeared dressed in traditional Indian costumes for a wedding ceremony. The cast also partake in games and had a fun time. Krystal force fed her on-screen husband Evergreen with an unpeeled banana while Yoyo washed Kevin's feet in sweet and sour paste water.

Kevin was asked for his views regarding rumours of Charmaine Sheh leaving TVB to earn more money in China. Kevin send his blessings to Charmaine and adds, "She probably made careful considerations, and should have a per series contract with TVB, she should continue to shoot TVB series. She should work in both HK and Mainland, I hope I still have the opportunity to collaborate with her, may her wishes come true. Make more money!"

Kevin also revealed that he still has a long contract with TVB and as such he will not consider venturing into China. He clarified that he wants to handle jobs at both places - China and HK. Kevin says Hong Kong has a good broadcast station and it would be a pity if he lose it. Nevertheless, he adds that China has tremendous hidden potential.

Kevin also revealed that he will be filming new series Boxing King soon and is currently training for a 6-pack body.

Yoyo Mung and Kevin Cheng talk about love

Yoyo Mung and Kevin Cheng are currently starring in TVB's latest series, Only You. Although Yoyo and Kevin have collaborated twice before, it was in [OY] that they got to know each other better.

Yoyo explains, "Perhaps he's passive and I'm passive too. We both sort of have an imaginary wall between us, until now that we tear it down. If it wasn't for Krystal Tin who helped us take the first step, we may not have been able to tear the wall down. But actually, Kevin and I are the same type of people, he is very direct and will talk about anything. He doesn't have bad intentions, nor does he like making news, so this series helped us get to know each other better, I am very pleased."

Yoyo reveals that she is very pleased with the script of [OY] and is happy working with Kevin. "I play a middle-aged Hong Kong girl that can't get married. The script has a lot of touching parts, like the line "we need a marriage, not a wedding", is something worth to think back on. In the past, I had the same feeling as my role in the series, I didn't have a sense of security, and would ask my boyfriend what plans we have. Later, I realized that men don't like to talk about plans even if they had one," Yoyo shares. She adds that enjoying the whole course of the event is more important, petty things shouldn't matter.

As for Kevin, he explains that he is still looking for the right partner. "I am already 40 years old, my mom gave up on forcing me into marriage. I only want to have a child, but I still haven't met a match yet. I don't want to split in or out of the industry, I am just looking for a match. At my age, if I'm dating, I want to get married and have children. I just want this one time to be the one that I live until old with. To be with a person who is not compatible is impossible!" says Kevin.

Synopsis:
Lai Ka Ka has been taking care of her family members and their welfare throughout the years. Her husband, Chukot Ho and eldest son, Chukot Ching look up to her as their spiritual leader. Ka Ka is under the belief that everything that she does is for the betterment of the family as well as each family member.

Although Ka Ka as paved the way for Ching to be a HR manager at a reputable company, Ching is unhappy with the work arrangement. As such, Ching secretly invests in a domestic cleaning company with his former school mate, Kei Wing Fat. When Ka Ka finds out what Ching has done, both mother and son had a terrible quarrel.

Kei Wing Fat mysteriously disappears and leave the company in financial crisis under Ching's management. Ching has no choice but to look to Ka Ka for help. Under Ka Ka's leadership, all the Chukot family members pitch in at the cleaning company to tide the company over. Ching also decides to hire Wing Fat's girlfriend, Tong Kam Po, to help as well.

Ching's sister, Chukot Yong, is dating her childhood sweetheart, Tong Sau Lai. However, Sau Lai is now married with a pregnant wife. Ching's twin brothers are spending too much time courting girls rather than focusing on their studies. All these events lead to Ka Ka having a strained relationship with her children.

Costume Fitting for Fury Street Corner

Kevin Cheng and Myolie Wu are set to work together again in new TVB series Fury Street Corner. The co-stars in Burning Flame III, will be collaborating with DJ Sam Lee as well as Sharon Chan.

Sharon Chan will play a sex worker in this series. At the costume fitting, Sharon teased everyone present with her beautiful long legs. She even wore a revealing outfit to suit her character. "This time I'm revealing lots of things and had to wear too bras for work. I never done this type of role before, the most intense scene is when I have to run out in the streets without any clothes on," Sharon reveals even more.

Sharon shared that there will be one scene which she has to go looking for "clients". "I'll be in sexy and provocative clothing. However my role is not the normal "in one flat" sex worker, she's an idealistic sex worker," says Sharon. Sharon disclosed that she will be visiting the red-light areas to explore the working conditions and observe to prepare for her character.

DJ Sam Lee will be filming a TVB series for the very first time. He will take on the role of a social worker and shared that his earnings for the series is approximately about the same as DJ-ing for less than 2 nights.

Kevin Cheng hopes to collaborate with cast of A Fistful of Stances again

TVB series A Fistful of Stances' ratings is mediocre but there are many active discussions by netizens in various online forums.

Kevin Cheng, who takes on dual role in the series, as both father and son, explained that it was rather challenging and hopes that the ratings can improve. He revealed that the script for this series is one of his favourites. He also enjoyed the filming process with the cast, including Kenneth Ma, Natalie Tong, Dominic Lam and Tavia Yeung, calling them family. Kevin shared that the meet up for dinners and movies after filming. Kevin hopes that the ratings can improve and pave way for a sequel as he look forward to collaborating with the same group of cast once more.

Kevin revealed that he is satisfied with his earning for 2010. In fact, in the beginning of the year, he earned a 7-figure sum when he was in the States, filming commercial and doing a few shows. Kevin will be heading to Malaysia together with Moses Chan, Ron Ng and Bosco Wong for a concert.

Despite being busy, Kevin is still very much a filial son. He still remembers his mother's wish for him to buy his own house. Synopsis:

Cast of Beyond the Realm of Conscience continues to celebrate

The success of TVB drama, Beyond the Realm of Conscience is truly extraordinary, the cast and crew got together for yet another celebration. This round it is TVB executive, Norman Leung who is footing the bill. Cast members including Charmaine Sheh, Tavia Yeung, Moses Chan, Kevin Cheng, Selena Li, Michelle Yim, Susan Tse and Susanna Kwan were among those who attended the dinner. Due to the success of the series, Charmaine and Kevin revealed that they were both able to earn a 7-figure sum in a short period of time.

Charmaine recently returned from a trip to Malaysia, which she is ambassador for a skincare brand. "!'m already starting a fat year. During the Lunar New Year period, I have series to film, so probably earning extra money. I'll be busy shooting series in the new year. Having good scripts outweighs winning awards, the most important is to enjoy the filming process. As a reward, if possible, I want to get a new car. As for property, I have always wanted to, but I have no time to look for them.," says Charmaine.

Kevin, on the other hand shares that he will be shooting ads in the new year. He will also be travelling to the United States and Canada for work. Tavia expressed that she is currently busy with many jobs but she is also earning more. She explains, "I can get a new house for my dog. As for my own house, investment is my goal, let's see how that goes."

Selena Li who recently went on a 3-month break to complete her studies, reveals that she has to turn down jobs when she was in Canada. This caused her to lose some income. However, Selena acknowledge that being able to graduate is priceless and it made her mum very happy!

Charmaine Sheh and Kevin Cheng are not awkward in each other's presence

During the filming of Beyond the Realm of Conscience, there were rumours of Charmaine Sheh and Kevin Cheng getting together. Then a few months later, rumours of them breaking up surfaced. But all these, to this day remains as merely rumours. Both artistes have always maintained that they are good friends and co-workers.

Recently, the cast of Beyond the Realm of Conscience gathered for a day of fun at the 5th Annual David Fu Tau Lam Charity Cup. Both Charmaine and Kevin were in the same tug-of-war team that managed to raise HKD 60,000 (of which HKD 10,000 came from Kevin's pockets). Although it was noted that these two friends did not have much interaction with one another, they did stand together for a group photo.

Charmaine again stressed that Kevin and her are good friends and she is not embarrassed to see him. Responding to reports that Kevin's facial expressions changed when he was question by the Malaysian media about their relationship, Charmaine asked the reporters if that incident was true. Reporters asked Charmaine to "teach" Kevin to level up his EQ, but Charmaine assured reporters that Kevin has great EQ level. She explains that the rumours surrounding their relationship as well as the constant news about artistes competing for TVB Anniversary Awards are actually not news to her. These so-called news are just negative ways of promoting something.

Kevin explained that his mood during his trip to Malaysia was good. He asked reporters to verify with Fala Chen to understand the situation better as Fala was with him for that trip.

Synopsis:
In the Tong Dynasty, the Emperor and the Imperial family are served by the Imperial Household Bureau. The Imperial Household Bureau is tasked to manage all household services for the Emperor and is made up of four sections. They are Jewels, Attire, Food and Furnishing.

Lau Sam Ho and Yiu Kam Ling were exposed to the Imperial Household bureau at a tender age. The two girls are hardworking and were raised within the disciplines of the palace. Yuen Tsui Wan, the Head of the Jewels Section, and Chung Suet Ha, Head of Attire Section find Sam Ho to be a very kind-hearted girl. They soon start a fight to bring Sam Ho into their own section.

Sam Ho always keeps her mother's last words close to her heart; "Do good deeds, Speak good words, Show goodwill". She lives her life based on that and displays kindness to everyone in the Palace. On the other hand, Kam Ling disagrees with Sam Ho. Kam Ling believes that to survive in the Palace, she has to scheme her way to the top. She finally succeeds to be the Emperor's concubine.

Kam Ling knows that Sam Ho is in love with chess master, Ko Hin Yeung. However she is still jealous of Sam Ho as she knows that Emperor Lee Yi is attracted to Sam Ho. To strengthen her position, Kam Ling accuses Sam Ho of murdering the Empress and condemns her to death. Luckily for Sam Ho, Kam Ling's plan does not fall into place.

Cast of Burning Flame III splashes around in Jordan

The cast of Burning Flame III attended a promotional event at a hotel poolside in Jordan. Kevin Cheng, Myolie Wu, Wong Hei, Bosco Wong, Aimee Chan, Elaine Yiu were among the cast who attended.

The cast was embroiled in a water-gun fight resulting in everyone being drenched. However, the female cast was well prepared for this as they had swimsuits on the inside.

While filming for Burning Flame III was on-going, there were plenty of rumours that alleged that Wong Hei and Kevin Cheng do not get along well. At this promo event, the two male leads had no interaction with one another except towards the end when a group photo was taken. Wong Hei stood next to Kevin Cheng. Reporters quickly seized the chance to ask Wong Hei about his character, Chung Yau Sing, who offends almost everyone in the series. Wong Hei reasoned that he was not the one who wrote the script. Reporters pushed their luck and further asked Wong Hei if his real life characteristics mirrored those of Chung Yau Sing. Wong Hei claimed that he does not understand the question. He also left immediately once the event was over. The PR personnel explained that Wong Hei has other obligations and had to leave immediately.

Kevin Cheng and Bosco Wong are friends off screen

Kevin Cheng and Bosco Wong are now on par as they are currently in the same rank of TVB male leads. These two dashing stars are not only good friends but also good brothers (heng dai). Of course there exist competition between them, but fans of both should not worry as the competition is the healthy sort. These two talented stars would not let any rivalry ruin their relationship.

After hearing the lavish praises Kevin heap on him, Bosco returns the compliments. "Kevin is actually very handsome and mature. Actually, when I first met Kevin, I felt that he was kinda cool, but when our relationship slowly developed, I realized he likes to joke a lot. He is the king of lame jokes (laan GAG)." Bosco explains that he doesn't usually meet up with kevin after work, but everytime they meet, they are like old friends. Bosco also reveals that there's no rivalry between them.

Burning Flame III peaked at 38 points for first episode

Burning Flame III started its run on Monday, July 6. The first episode managed to draw 2.4 million viewers and achieved 36 points average rating and peaked at 38 points. This means Burning Flame III scored the highest rating achieved in a single day in the last 3 years. The last series to do this well was Dance of Passion back in 2006. Burning Flame III also out-score its two predecessors - Burning Flame and Burning Flame II.

Kevin and Myolie are happy with the series' achievement. Kevin said the first episode's success does make him feel a little pressured and as such, he hopes that the audience can give their fullest support to the series. Reporters ask Kevin if he thinks that Burning Flame III can break the ratings of Jewel in the Palace, in which Kevin says it's too early to tell. Kevin adds that if the series ratings reached 40 points, he would show everyone his pants, subject to the agreement of the rest of the cast. He explains that he is the only one who wears "weird" clothes!

Following Kevin's remarks of showing off his pants, reporters asked Myolie if she will wear a bikini to celebrate the high ratings of Burning Flame III. Myolie says, "The whole of Hong Kong has seen my swimming costume, I am only cheering, therefore I will be wearing a skirt." Myolie has yet to appear in the series but she is confident. She explains that everyone has placed a lot of effort in the series, especially the male stars and everyone deserves the glory.

Charmaine kneels the whole day for filming

Filming for new TVB drama, Beyond the Realm of Conscience, has started. Charmaine Sheh plays the role of a palace maid, Lau Sam Ho. Charmaine shares that her character is a very nice person and has a good heart. She explains, "Yes, I play a very good character in the series. Sam Ho does good deeds, says nice things and has a very good heart." On the other hand, Charmaine reveals that Tavia Yeung's character is frank and outspoken. Her bluntness caused many problems in the Palace but Sam Ho will be there to help her shoulder the blame.

Charmaine shares that during filming, she has been kneeling down the whole day. They were filming a scene which requires her character to beg the Empress to help Michelle Yim and Susanna Kwan's character.

Beyond the Realm of Conscience was previously known as Lau Sam Ho and also stars Moses Chan (Emperor), Kevin Cheng (Palace Guard), Selena Li (Concubine), Mary Hon, Tracy Ip, Mandy Cho among others.

Kevin Cheng and Linda Chung shares the same new year wish

Kevin Cheng, Linda Chung and Kate Tsui attended a New Year event to welcome 2009. Each artistes have their own group of fans cheering them on. Kevin and Linda have the same new year's resolution. Both hope that there will be less rumours circulating about them in the new year. Meanwhile, Kate hopes that everyone can accept her as a singer as she will be entering the music industry soon.

Reporters asked Kevin if he received any new year sms wishes from Charmaine Sheh. Kevin explained that he seldom send text messages and would prefer to call. He also mentioned that he did not receive any sms wish from Charmaine but if he does, he will call her back to thank her, the same way he treats all his friends.

Kevin hopes that there will be less rumours in 2009 and wishes for good health and smooth sailing career. Kevin will be filming 2 drama series in 2009.

Linda shared that rumoured boyfriend, Raymond Lam, and her did not meet up to countdown to the new year. Linda revealed that 2008 was a prosperous year for her and is worried that she may not be able to maintain that in the new year.

Charmaine Sheh duets with Joe Ma

Charmaine Sheh, Liza Wang and Joe Ma recently attended a promotional event for their drama series, When Easterly Showers Fall on the Sunny West. Once a rumoured couple, Charmaine and Joe were again paired up for the series. They even sang a duet at the function, although Charmaine admit that she was nervous.

Charmaine also expressed that she would not mind working with Kevin Cheng as a couple team to earn more money. She is glad that her fees are so far not affected and revealed that she has some shows to do for the coming Christmas season.

TVB Anniversary Gala 2008

TVB celebrated it's 41st Anniversary on Wednesday, November 19th in typical pomp and splendour. It was held and Tseung Kwan O TVB City at attended by over 100 artists. Sir Run Run Shaw opened the show and was assisted by MCs for the night, Liza Wang and Carol Cheng.

TVB capitalised on the rumours surrounding rumoured couples and paired them up for performances. But these artists were very sporting and professional and took them all in stride. Among those paired up include Charmaine Sheh and Kevin Cheng, Myolie Wu and Bosco Wong, Raymond Lam and Linda Chung among others.

Wong Cho Lam, who recently picked up the award for Most Improved Male Artist, together with Johnson Lee and Louis Yuen paid tribute to the late Lydia Shum by impersonating TVB Golden Flowers.

The cast of Moonlight Resonance treated the audience to an anniversary sketch. The cast members - Lee Si Kei, Susanna Kwan, Ha Yu, Michelle Yim, Raymond Lam, Moses Chan, Bosco Wong were joined by Eric Tsang, Charmaine Sheh, Christine Ng and Myolie Wu on stage for the sketch. Although a script was provided, but it was not followed, thus even more hilarity ensues. There were chaos (of the good kind), lots of laughter and most importantly fun for everyone. Raymond, Ha Yu and Wayne had expected the worst and wore raincoats to protect themselves but Eric managed to smear cream cake on their faces.

One of the highlights of the night was big sister, Liza Wang, joining the young artists, performed a hip hop dance. An elated Grace Wong walked away with the biggest anniversary bonus of the night when she won HKD 120,000, while Shirley Yeung and Charmaine Sheh took Hkd 50,000 and HKD 25,000 respectively.
