Ada Choi pregnant at 37

After two years of wedding bliss, Ada Choi and husband, Max Zhang are expecting their first child together. It was hubby, Max who reveals the happy news to the public at a an even for a movie Team of a Miracle: We Will Rock You. However, Max stop short of revealing how far along into the pregnancy Ada is in.

"You guys ask Ada. I just know about it," says an elated Max. He adds, "We don't know the gender of the baby yet, but it doesn't matter, as long as he/she is healthy!"

The Fly with Me actress will continue to work even though she now has a bun in the oven. Max explains that those jobs were received before they found out about the pregnancy. Nevertheless, Max has employed additional two more assitants to care for Ada.

Ada, who is currently filming in China, plans to return home before Chinese New Year. According to Mary Hon, Ada's co-star in the China series, Ada should be more than 3 months pregnant.

Pregnant women are notorious for their mood swings and Max shares that Ada is also the same. He says that his wife has an existing bad temper but now it is worse. However, he is an understanding husband and takes it all in his stride. "I understand it's hard for them [pregnant women] to control. I'm treating her like a queen now, but I'm very happy," Max shares.

Moses Chan promotes Fly with Me on his birthday

Moses Chan turned 39 recently (16 April) and on his special day, he together with Ada Choi attended the promotional event for TVB series Fly with Me (formerly Superwoman). The cast and crew presented Moses with a birthday cake. The cast also distributed flowers and lip=shaped stickers to passerbys.

Moses revealed that he is working on his birthday, filming Can't Buy Me Love. The celebrations will have to wait as work comes first. Repoerters teased Moses that his rumoured girlfriend Bernice is not working, but Moses explained, ""It's me that has no time, it's just my problem, wait until I have more time."

Moses shared that although his mother did not rush him to settle down and start a family, he already has plans of his own.

As for co-star, Ada Choi, there are rumours circulating that she is currently pregnant and is due in October. However, Ada strongly denied the rumour, "I am in good physical condition, haven't really reduced my jobs. However, my husband Max Zhang is currently filming a new drama, when we have time we will work on it. If I do get pregnant, I will let everyone know."

Ada Choi forcefully kiss Kenny Wong

Ada Choi and Kenny Wong, co-stars in The Gem of Life is now collaborating again filming new TVB drama Superwoman. Superwoman is a challenging series for Ada as she has to film numerous "flying" scenes, where she got suspended in midair.

The latest scene which Ada and Kenny are filming does not require Ada to be "flying" but she has to force Kenny against the wall and kisses him! This scene is an outdoor scene and was filmed somewhere in Central. Ada and Kenny both arrived early at location and prepared for the scene. Ada has to push Kenny against the wall and kiss him forcefully. Ada pursed her lips to show that she was impatient to kiss Kenny, but when Kenny sees Ada's pursed lips, he could help but smile. Both of them burst out laughing many times which result in them having to re-shot the scene a few times.

Superwoman Ada Choi saves Kenny Wong

Ada Choi and Kenny Wong were filming new TVB drama Superwoman at TVB City in Tseung Kwan O. The scene revolves around Kenny who is a police officer who was shocked to see something falling from above. Upon seeing Kenny in danger, Ada who is Wonder Woman, leaped to his defense.

Although Ada had stunt double to perform stunts, she still felt that this series is the most demanding she has ever filmed. Ada explained, "I play a flying wonder woman, lots of times I have to do midair stunts and fly around. Although there is a body double to help me, there are many scenes that I have to personally do. I think from now on I have to do wire stunts three, four times a week."

Ada's husband, Max Zhang, shared some pointers with her on how to move around in the air. However, after watching her body double perform a series of stunts, she knows it's not easy. Ada shared that being an actress is comfortable as "all the actions are tried out first by martial arts choreographer and stuntmen to ensure safety." Moses Chan and Ada Choi showed off their vocal skills

Ada Choi and Moses Chan attended a Christmas Catwalk Function. They played games with the audience and even selected children to join them on stage. Moses chose a little girl who had western look and prompted the host to comment, "Moses Chan likes part western girls." Ada and Moses also showed off their vocal skills by performing a duet. Ada was rewarded with kisses from the group of children.

Reporters quickly asked Ada if she felt any urge to have children in which she denied. Ada said that having children around during Christmas make the atmosphere very warm and lively. She reiterates that she doesn't plan to have any children for at least two years. Work is still her primary focus, also childbearing will affect her health. Cast of The Gem of Life tries Golfing

Cast of blockbuster drama series The Gem of Life went for a round of golf as part of a promotional event. Bowie Lam, Ada Choi, Maggie Siu, Kenny Wong, Queenie Chu, John Chiang and Lee Si Kei were among those who showed off their golfing talents.

Ada, who played the role of Jessica Hong, shared that she used to take golfing lessons. However, she stopped golfing because she did not want to have tanned, muscular arms. Her husband, Max Zhang Jin, has now taken up golfing so Ada offers to be his buggy driver. Ada also expressed her disappointment that the ratings for The Gem of Life was not up to expectations. However, Ada has a silver lining - she receives good feedback from viewers about her character!

Maggie Siu, on the other hand, is not worried about the ratings of the series. She also revealed that she plans to host a Christmas party for her fellow co-stars and hopes that Gigi Lai (who has retired from the entertainment industry) can spare some time to join in the celebrations.

TVB new drama Superwoman, starring Ada Choi, Moses Chan, Kenny Wong, Raymond Cho and Queenie Chu has its costume fitting session recently. Ada wore a dress with a plunging V neckline and was the most attractive at the event. Ada was modest and said she felt embarrassed to be wearing such a sexy outfit. Ada also adds, "Actually my body figure has always been quite good, just that I never show off. But this time its quite fun as I will constantly be pursuing 3 guys." Ada Choi shelves baby plans

Ada Choi attended Olay's promo function recently. She was dressed all in red akin a huge "red packet" but Ada said she isn't a red packet, merely in the mood for Christmas!

Ada revealed that she will be working this Christmas, busy filming new drama Superwoman. Ada said as the current economy situation is bleak, it's good to have work. Ada expressed her concern for her skin, saying that with HD technology, every detail is viewable on camera. Ada shared that she uses more skincare products and revealed that prior to using those products on herself, she'll use her husband as a guinea pig. "Actually I have a new product that I'm using, I will use my husband's face to test, so my husband's face is a lot better now, got more handsome too," Ada said.

Reporters asked Ada if she and husband, Max Zhang, plan to have a baby soon. Ada said, "I need to film Superwoman, it's not the time to have kids, you want me to miscarry the baby! The Gem of Life cast has confidence series ratings will improve

The cast of The Gem of Life - Bowie Lam, Moses Chan and Ada Choi, sailed out to sea on a yacht hoping to increase the ratings for this TVB anniversary series. They sailed all the way to Lamma Island for promo activities. Last week, the average ratings of The Gem of Life were dismal, not managing to surpass 30 points.

At Lamma Island, the three stars managed to attract the attention of local residents and tourists alike, who took the opportunity to take photos with their idols. The weather was cold, yet Ada was dressed in a tank top. When questioned by reporters, Ada said, "it's not cold. The sun is shining. Miss Hong Kongs aren't afraid of the cold."

Ada Choi plans to electrify Moses Chan

Ada Choi has collaborated in 3 drama series with Moses Chan - Where the Legend Begins, Dance of Passion and The Gem of Life. They will soon be working together in their fourth collaboration, Superwoman (unofficial title).

Talking about their collaboration in The Gem of Life, Ada said most scenes that has Moses and her are those of them arguing. Ada plays Jessica Hong, the wife of Moses's father. The cast of The Gem of Life turned up in full force for a Creative Wine Tasting event in Central recently. Ada Choi, Maggie Siu, Moses Chan, Bowie Lam, Kenny Wong, Linda Chung, Bosco Wong are among those who attended. They were split into two groups - one to sample cocktails and another to sample wine. There was a scene in Gem of Life where Maggie hit Bowie's head with the heels of her shoe. Bowie explained that Maggie did use her real strength to hit him, so he did felt some pain. Gigi Lai's contract frozen, not terminated

Following the announcement from Gigi Lai of her intention to retire, TVB Executive, Stephen Chan said he accepts, understands and respects the reason Gigi wants to retire from the entertainment industry. However, he will wait for her return and strongly believes that there is still room for future collaboration. It is understood that the remainder of Gigi's contract with TVB will not be terminated but instead temporarily frozen. Cast of The Gem of Life sails on a luxury cruise

The cast of TVB Anniversary Series, The Gem of Life, went on a luxury cruise to promote the series. Among those present were Gigi Lai, Ada Choi, Maggie Siu, Bowie Lam, Moses Chan and Wong Hei. The cast were treated to a splendid buffet meal as well as synchronized swimming performances.

The cast also made wishes with candles and placed them in the swimming pool, hoping for high TV ratings. The female cast member were extra cautious when placing the candles in the pool as they didn't want to wet their beautiful dresses. Gigi Lai jokingly said that she was also worried that Bowie, who was standing behind her, might push her into the pool. Bowie, Moses and Kenny Wong also performed a strip dance to the delight of all the ladies present.

Ada and Maggie's outfit were the most eye-catching. Ada explained that her outift was sponsored but what matters is that it suited the occasion. She also expressed her confidance in the series, "There are very few series that will air 2 episodes at once. I believe the ratings won’t be bad. I hope the audience will like it." Synopsis:
Set in the mid 1900s, in the Loess Plateau of Shanbei region is where the story of two clans - the Yim Clan and the Sung Clan, unfolds.
