Bowie Lam Fala Chen
Fala Chen and Bowie Lam attened the Emperor Watch & Jewellery Exhibition in Macau. At the exhibition, both Fala and Bowie wore diamond accesories with more than HKD 2 million. Fala revealed that she has selected a few sets of jewelery for TVB's Anniversary Awards happening this Sunday, December 5. However she is undecided on which set to wear as she has to pair it with the outfit, which she has not chosen yet. Fala joked that she may not appear in a revealing and sexy evening dress as her priority lies in the "beauty" of the outfit.

There were several complains that Fala's character in No Regrets took a long time to die. Her death was stretched over several episodes. Fala explained that the storyline is such to emphasize on the romance set within the backdrop of the Sin-Japanese war. Nevertheless, Fala is open to suggestions and opinions from viewers, whether they are positive or negative. It is noted that the ratings for [NR] is not as high as the ratings for Can't Buy Me Love, Fala admits that the ratings may have been affected by the unfavourable timeslot, but fortunately the audience are able to follow the seiries online.

Bowie Lam is nominated for Best Actor for his role as Ho Cheung Hing in Sisters of Pearl in the Asia TV Awards, which will be held on December 9th. Bowie is grateful that he is able to make it into the Top 6 but adds that he treats every award the same. Bowie shared that he watched foreign TV series to increase his self-worth. "When I first started shooting The Gem of Life, I didn't really know how to approach the role, so was constantly watching different types of series, always learning," explains Bowie. Bowie admits that a more superior series is usually aired around the time for TVB Anniversary Awards. He also notes that he would be very happy if he wins at the Asia TV Awards afterall, it is "Asia TV King!"

Can't Buy Me Love is still the highest rated series for 2010

TVB's Anniversary Awards for 2010 will be help at 8.30pm on December 5th. The battle for TV King and TV Queen is reportedly down to the leads from 2 series, No Regrets and Can't Buy Me Love. [CBML] was aired earlier and received high ratings as well as praises from the viewers while [NR] also managed to garner some praises for having a wonderful story. At the same time, [NR] was heavily promoted during TVB's Anniversary Gala thus boosting its chances at the coming awards.
Charmaine Sheh
It was reported earlier that Charmaine Sheh may not be attending the awards show as she will be working in China. However, the actress may have a change of heart and might be attending the annual awards show. Reporters contacted Charmaine to verify this piece of news. As [CBML] is the highest rated series for 2010, Charmaine said that the Producer of [CBML], Miu Siu Ching should be the happiest.

Charmaine was once again asked about her hopes for the TV Queen award, which she says "I am feeling very normal, I personally don't have any big battle feeling, try my best!" As for whether she will return to HK for the award show, Charmaine explains that her manager is trying to schedule time-off for her from the Chinese film crew. Charmaine adds, "I still have to go back that night because I am part of the nominations and I want to participate too. However, I really don't have time to try out the jewelry and outfit, so will leave everything to my manager!"
Sheren Tang
Sheren Tang was filming an advertisement and was approached by reporters. The finale ratings for [NR] did not manage to break the ratings for [Jewel in the Palace]. Sheren explains that she is not disappointed with the ratings. She reasons that viewers can now re-watch the series online and perhaps that may influence the ratings.

Popular HK veteran actor, Chow Yun Fat was quote as saying that the battle for Best Actress this year will come down to Charmaine Sheh versus Sheren Tang. Upon hearing this, Sheren quickly expresses her thanks to the actor, "Really thank him for the support, sometimes when I see him, I would get his advice! I personally have confidence, but the other opponents are very strong too." Sheren also joked that her character, "Kau Ku Leung" is very complicated and tough to portray, thus she may win the "Most Improved Award" as well. She also praised Charmaine for doing well in [CBML].

Sheren Tang hopes for higher ratings

Sheren Tang Eileen Cha
The second week of TVB anniversary series No Regrets score an average of 31 points, and peaked at 34 points; which is exact same ratings as it's premiere week.

Sheren Tang, who accepted Eileen Cha's interview, was asked for her opinion regarding [NR]'s ratings. [NR] is considered by many to be the competitor to the recently concluded Can't Buy Me Love at this year's TVB Anniversary Awards. Sheren responded, "There is disappointment more or less, but I feel that if series has high ratings does not represent that it's very high quality. It is all accommodated by favorable factors. War and Beauty did not have very high ratings, but was still a city-wide topic."

Sheren was then asked for her opinion about TV King, which sees a tough fight between Sheren's [NR] co-star, Wayne Lai or the lead in [CBML], Moses Chan. Sheren explained that Moses is an actor whom she likes and hope to collaborate with in the future. However, Sheren adds that she did not watch [CBML] and as such it is difficult for her to comment.

Sheren shares that she is still deliberating what series to accept for next year. She would love to film a comedy series but hopes to get a role who is an argumentative woman. She feels that she is still not as good as teresa Mo or Ha Ping in comedies.

Sheren's role as Kau Koo Leung in [NR] has definitely boost her popularity. Recently a magazine re-used Shere's old photo as their cover story. Sheren laughed and says that is very "environmental-friendly". After all they are recycling.

Felix Wong hailed as the "dark horse" in the TV King battle

The competition for 2010 TVB Anniversary Awards is heating up. The top favourites this year are the duo from Can't Buy Me Love, Moses Chan and Charmaine Sheh battling the duo (and also last year's winning pair) of Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang from No Regrets.

However, Felix Wong is now thrown into the race after being hailed as the dark horse by his co-star from Gun Metal Grey, Michael Miu. Even Moses Chan has praises for Felix and admits that the competition is fierce.

On Monday (October 18), TVB will hold its 43 Annual Lighting Ceremony. At this event the list of nominees for the upcoming Anniversary Awards will also be announced. Many fans and viewers anticipate that the leads from No Regrets, Wayne and Sheren will lead the nomination list and build the momentum leading up to the awards. TVB is heavily promoting No Regrets making the series and its cast a strong contender for the awards.

Nonetheless, Can't Buy Me Love also has its strengths. Although the series has ended its run, it is the highest rated series in 2010 to date. It also stars the winner of 2007's TV King, Moses Chan and 2006's TV Queen, Charmaine Sheh. The strong battle between Can't Buy Me Love and No Regrets reminded viewers and fans of last year's battle between Beyond the Realm of Conscience and Rosy Business.

Producer Lee Tim Sing, who is the producer for No Regrets, openly pledges his support for Wayne and Sheren, pointing out that this award winning duo have a strong chance of taking the awards in two consequtive years! "I saw Charmaine’s performance in Can't Buy Me Love, she has definitely improved a lot, however in terms of acting, it’s hard to compete with Sheren. I think there is a huge chance that this year’s TV King and Queen will be a ‘repeat’ of last year," says Producer Lee.

After back and forth bickering between the 2 sides with no solution in sight, the matter finally caught the attention of the Emperor. Can the Emperor salvage the marriage of his favourite Princess? Marrying a princess is suppose to bring honour to the family but for the Kams, all that glitter is not always gold.

TVB announces Grand Productions at HK Filmart 2010

TVB HK Filmart 2010
TVB Executive, Virginia Lok and a few TVB actors and actresses attended the recent Hong Kong Filmart 2010. Among those artistes who attended the event representing TVB include leading Fadans and Siusangs such as Charmaine Sheh, Moses Chan, Raymond Lam, Wayne Lai, Shereen Tang, Nancy Wu, Damian Lau and Jessica Hsuan. The artistes helped to introduce some of TVB grand productions for 2010. These grand productions are Can't Buy Me Love, No Regrets (previously known as Rosy Business 2: Righteous Sea of Heroic Love), Interpol 2010 and Growing Through Life.

Can't Buy Me Love
Formerly known as The Arrival of the Princess or The Princess Marriage, Can't Buy Me Love sees the collaboration of Moses Chan and Charmaine Sheh. He as the reluctant husband, while she as the ultra demanding Princess.

At the HK Filmart promo for the series, Moses openly declares that he is afraid of women. "I treat all women with love and hate. I'm also afraid of Charmaine, in the series she's a very savage princess," says Moses. When probbed by reporters id his current girlfriend is as savage as the Princess, Moses blushed with embarrasment and coyly feigned innocense. Charmaine also shares that she is currently single and is not sure if she was a savage girlfriend in the past.

No Regrets (formerly known as Rosy Business 2: Righteous Sea of Heroic Love)
A semi-continuation from the first Rosy Business, this is an indirect sequel. The story is independent but features (almost) similar cast list to the first. Expect to see stellar performances from Wayne Lai, Shereen Tang, Nancy Wu and new additions Raymond Wong and Fala Chen.
