Synopsis:
Lip Dor Po is a martial art expert who signs up as an imperial bodyguard in the Palace. Dor Po is a righteous man and is always fighting for the rights of his people.

Synopsis:
Princess Chew Yeung is the 3rd of 5 princess, daughter of Emperor Taizhong. She was arranged to marry a Tibetan prince against her wishes. The only way out for her was to look for another suitor as soon as possible. The proprietress of a gold store, Tong Lor Hei recommends her second son, Kam Tor Luk and third son, Kam Tor Sau as candidates. Madam Ting hopes that the marriage with the Princess will bring them out of their financial troubles and save their family business.

Tor Luk doesn't want his brother to marry the willful and bratty Princess, as such he "sacrifices" himself and assumes the responsibility of marrying Princess Chew Yeung.

After their marriage, Princess Chew Yeung remains as bratty as before. As she is a member of the royal family, she expects the Kams to treat her with respect including Tor Luk's mother and grandmother.

Princess Chew Yeung was granted a handmaiden by the Empress Dowager, Szeto Ngan Ping who doubles as a bodyguard. Szeto Ngan Ping is haughty and has no regard for anyone as she has the blessing from Princess Chew Yeung. She even fight back against Ting Yau wai, who is the Emperor-elect matchmaker.

The Kams have had enough of Princess Chew Yeung and Szeto Ngam Ping's antics. They decide to group together and fight against her. However, what surprises the Kams the most was that their vivacious house maid, Ng Sei Tak, decides to take the side of the unreasonable Princess.

After back and forth bickering between the 2 sides with no solution in sight, the matter finally caught the attention of the Emperor. Can the Emperor salvage the marriage of his favourite Princess? Marrying a princess is suppose to bring honour to the family but for the Kams, all that glitter is not always gold.

Cast of Beyond the Realm of Conscience continues to celebrate

The success of TVB drama, Beyond the Realm of Conscience is truly extraordinary, the cast and crew got together for yet another celebration. This round it is TVB executive, Norman Leung who is footing the bill. Cast members including Charmaine Sheh, Tavia Yeung, Moses Chan, Kevin Cheng, Selena Li, Michelle Yim, Susan Tse and Susanna Kwan were among those who attended the dinner. Due to the success of the series, Charmaine and Kevin revealed that they were both able to earn a 7-figure sum in a short period of time.

Charmaine recently returned from a trip to Malaysia, which she is ambassador for a skincare brand. "!'m already starting a fat year. During the Lunar New Year period, I have series to film, so probably earning extra money. I'll be busy shooting series in the new year. Having good scripts outweighs winning awards, the most important is to enjoy the filming process. As a reward, if possible, I want to get a new car. As for property, I have always wanted to, but I have no time to look for them.," says Charmaine.

Kevin, on the other hand shares that he will be shooting ads in the new year. He will also be travelling to the United States and Canada for work. Tavia expressed that she is currently busy with many jobs but she is also earning more. She explains, "I can get a new house for my dog. As for my own house, investment is my goal, let's see how that goes."

Selena Li who recently went on a 3-month break to complete her studies, reveals that she has to turn down jobs when she was in Canada. This caused her to lose some income. However, Selena acknowledge that being able to graduate is priceless and it made her mum very happy!

Synopsis:
In the Tong Dynasty, the Emperor and the Imperial family are served by the Imperial Household Bureau. The Imperial Household Bureau is tasked to manage all household services for the Emperor and is made up of four sections. They are Jewels, Attire, Food and Furnishing.

Lau Sam Ho and Yiu Kam Ling were exposed to the Imperial Household bureau at a tender age. The two girls are hardworking and were raised within the disciplines of the palace. Yuen Tsui Wan, the Head of the Jewels Section, and Chung Suet Ha, Head of Attire Section find Sam Ho to be a very kind-hearted girl. They soon start a fight to bring Sam Ho into their own section.

Sam Ho always keeps her mother's last words close to her heart; "Do good deeds, Speak good words, Show goodwill". She lives her life based on that and displays kindness to everyone in the Palace. On the other hand, Kam Ling disagrees with Sam Ho. Kam Ling believes that to survive in the Palace, she has to scheme her way to the top. She finally succeeds to be the Emperor's concubine.

Kam Ling knows that Sam Ho is in love with chess master, Ko Hin Yeung. However she is still jealous of Sam Ho as she knows that Emperor Lee Yi is attracted to Sam Ho. To strengthen her position, Kam Ling accuses Sam Ho of murdering the Empress and condemns her to death. Luckily for Sam Ho, Kam Ling's plan does not fall into place.

Synopsis:

In Hong Kong, life is different for Tina. The people in Hong Kong undergo a faster paced lifestyle compared to the Philippines. Fei Tin chanced upon Daniel, a fashion designer, on her flight to Hong Kong and ends up working for him. Daniel hates Tina and constantly makes fun of her especially about her overweight figure.

Daniel is a perfectionist and believes that appearances are everything. People who could not manage their own appearances are not to be trusted with anyhting important. Tina and Daniel are complete opposites. However, a strange turn of events brings these two people closer than ever.

Selena Li and Tavia Yeung slap each other

Selena Li and Tavia Yeung are very busy filming for new TVB drama Beyond the Realm of Conscience. Both Selena and Tavia play the role of concubines/imperial consort. As expected, there are strong competition among the concubines as well as in-fighting among them to win the Emperor's favour. Selena and Tavia has to slap one another for a scene from the drama. However, these two are the best of friends when they are not in character.

Selena explains that she has to keep long fingernails for her role as a concubine. As such, she is afraid of accidentally hurting Tavia when filming the "slapping scene". "You must grow your nails to portray a imperial concubine. Therefore I was afraid I would injure Tavia's face. I felt a lot of pressure. We tried different positions and attempted not to use real force. But the outcome wasn't great. In the end we decided to slap for real. But of course I didn't use any force on her. Later in the series, Tavia will slap me twice. I hope when we shoot those scenes she will go easy on me," says Selena.

Tavia explains that her face does not hurt from the slap but instead, it was her neck that is the one hurting. As reported earlier, the female casts have to wear heavy headgears for this series. However Tavia is quick to add that she will put up with the pain in order to film beautiful footages for the drama. She also explains that the higher the ranking a character has, the heavier the headgear would be.

Synopsis:

Jessica Hsuan: Sunny Chan is the best man ever!

Just Love II is scheduled to take over the 8.30pm time slot from Man In Charge next week. Recently, the cast attended the drama's promotional event held at Hong Kong Disneyland. Jessica Hsuan and Sunny Chan reprise their roles as the very just judge, Hei Man and devoted husband, Kot Kwok Kwong respectively.

At the event, Jessica and Sunny played games and were very much absorb into the game until they even shared a kiss. Jessica explains that Sunny is "the best man ever" and it's comfortable to be with him. Although Sunny is already married, Jessica is not afraid that their close bond will generate unnecessary rumours. Jessica admits that she is a little envious of Sunny's wife as she is able to marry a man as good as Sunny! Jessica also shares that she is currently not dating and her friends commented that she has high standards. She will leave the matters of the heart to fate.

Patrick Tang and Selena Li, who play husbands and wife in the drama, are rumoured to be dating in real life for years. They avoided each other when playing games, but Patrick accidentally kissed Selena's chest area during one of the gaming rounds. Reporters teased the two of them saying that they appear as though they are on a reality show. Patrick tells reporters present that he wishes to earn more money first before settling down.

Filming Beyond the Realm of Conscience is a pain

Tavia Yeung, Charmaine Sheh and Selena Li were involved with the filming of new TVB drama, Beyond the Realm of Conscience. The series is a period drama and the cast are required to be decked in period costumes. Not only the clothes and shoes but this time around, headgears are also required. Tavia has to constantly hold on to her headgear when filming and explained that the headgear is too heavy. It was revealed that her headgear weighs 4 kilograms! Tavia says, "For this series, the most difficult part is that my headdress is too heavy, right now my neck is swollen, each night I would have to treat it with medication."

Selena Li, on the other hand, needs more than the headgear. As her character is pregnant, she need additional padding for her chest area as well as stomach. Selena is excited to be playing a pregnant woman as she explains, "This is the first time I'm a pregnant woman in an ancient series!" However, Selena shares that among the three additional items, the headgear is the most uncomfortable. "it's so heavy that half the time I'm forgetting my lines, it's due to it being in the way," she says.

Charmaine Sheh takes wearing the headgear and pain all in her stride. So how come she has it easier that the others? Charmaine reveals, "At this point in the series, I'm still a low level person, so I don't have as much on my head. When I become a concubine, I will have to wear the headdress as well, I'm kind of afraid that my head will be in pain then."

Charmaine kneels the whole day for filming

Filming for new TVB drama, Beyond the Realm of Conscience, has started. Charmaine Sheh plays the role of a palace maid, Lau Sam Ho. Charmaine shares that her character is a very nice person and has a good heart. She explains, "Yes, I play a very good character in the series. Sam Ho does good deeds, says nice things and has a very good heart." On the other hand, Charmaine reveals that Tavia Yeung's character is frank and outspoken. Her bluntness caused many problems in the Palace but Sam Ho will be there to help her shoulder the blame.

Charmaine shares that during filming, she has been kneeling down the whole day. They were filming a scene which requires her character to beg the Empress to help Michelle Yim and Susanna Kwan's character.

Linda Chung and Moses Chan dine together

The second day of the Lunar New Year is when people gather to have an open year meal together. This year, Moses Chan, Linda Chung, Selena Li and Chris Lai met up for an open year meal specially arranged by an advertising company. The group enjoyed a hearty meal of many OX related dishes, as this year is the year of the Ox. They wished that the economy will soon recover and there will be more jobs.

The four friends were chatty during dinner. Linda explained, "Every year on Lunar New Year's day, my family would walk around the garden three times, the meaning is to have lots of luck. On the second day of new year, we would have an opening year meal together, each time my mom would have many many dishes prepared. There will always be fish, representing having excess in the new year."

Selena and Chris agrees that an open year meal must have Black moss and dried oysters to symbolise a prosperous year. Selena wishes that the economy will recover faster in the year of the OX. Chris explains that he usually meet up with his God sister, Yoyo Mung and manager for a meal. Moses says he will stuff himself with food so that his stomach will be full and fat. Moses explains that he doesn't pay much attention to new year meanings but he must have mushroom for his open year meal and he loves to eat mushrooms!

TVB Awards' Nominees busy choosing outfits and accessories

TVB's Anniversary Awards Night is less than a week away. Most TVB artists will be attending the awards night, one of the most important nights of their career. They will choose gorgeous outfits by famed designers, and of course the bling-bling jewellery to match and accompany their stunning outfits. Previously it was reported that Sonija Kwok has already chosen her dress. Let's see who else has been busy choosing dresses and selecting accessories for this important night.

Fala Chen
Fala Chen is nominated for Best Supporting Actress. She was spotted in Chow Tai Fook Jewellery trying on a set of blings reportedly worth over HKD 2.6 million. Fala expressed that she doesn't have much confidence in snagging the award. In fact, she thinks either Tavia Yeung or Lee Heung Kam will win.

Fala Chen's fellow nominee for Best Supporting Actress and co-star in Moonlight Resonance, Tavia Yeung Yi turned up at Emperor Watch & Jewellery. She reportedly tried on 4 sets of jewellery costing more than HKD 3 million! Tavia is also nominated in the Most Improved Female Artist Category. Tavia expressed her surprise at reports that her fellow nominee, Sharon Chan will not be adorning any jewellery for the prestigious night. Tavia thinks that Lee Heung Kam will pick up the award for Best Supporting Actress while she vows to fight on for the Most Improved Female Artist Award.

Selena Li
Selena Li is a nominee for Most Improved Female Artist. She appeared at Cecilia Yau Couture to choose her outfit for the award night. Selena's choice is a sleeveless, pink dress with a plunging V neckline. Selena says that she doesn't mean to steal the limelight with the plunging neckline, but she thinks that a dress with a V neckline looks extra grand. Selena has been nominated in the same category three times but failed to win in the first 2 years. This year she thinks that Tavia Yeung will win it. Selena doesn't mind not winning as long as she has the support of the audience.

Sonija Kwok
Sonija Kwok has already selected a dress for the awards night. She, a nominee for Best Actress, was at DeBeers to try a set of jewellery from their Milla range which includes necklaces, ring, earrings and watch. This extravagant set is reportedly worth HKD 20 million boasting a total of 131 carats of diamond! Sonija pledges her support for Lee Si Kei and Michelle Yim and said it is difficult for her to choose one.

Gigi Lai get support from Charmaine and Liza Wang

When Easterly Showers Fall on the Sunny West which will be aired on Monday, kick-off with a promo event. Liza Wang, Joe Ma, Charmaine Sheh, Selena Li, Raymond Wong were among the cast who were present at the event. In conjunction with the up-coming TVB Anniversary, the cast were split into two groups for games, which was to decorate birthday cakes.

When Easterly Showers Fall on the Sunny West is heavily promoted by TVB as an "Anniversary Series". When Liza was questioned about this, she said that she never thought about when a series will be aired as it is the company's prerogative. Liza adds that she is pleased that the series is released so soon as it has just finished filming. Reporters also took the chance to asked Liza opinion about Gigi Lai's retirement. Liza said that she believed that Gigi knows what is best for herself and respects Gigi's decision.

Charmaine Sheh echoes Liza's thoughts and is happy that Gigi has found another goal in life. Charmaine also revealed that Gigi has mentioned to her that she doesn't want to continue filming dramas about a year ago. Charmaine also explained that she is not thinking of retiring at this moment but she may consider it when she enters another stage in her life; if she plans to further her studies or venturing into business. Reporters asked Charmaine if she feel more at ease now that Gigi has retired and she has one less competitor, Charmaine replied, "You can't say that. Our roles and acting paths are different. I still have to improve, cannot be too satisfied. Even if people leave there will be newcomers."

Synopsis:
West Gate (Sai Guan) is Guangzhou's most prosperous area and only Guangzhou's wealthiest live there. East Gate (Tung Guan) is where high-ranking military officials has been living since the end of Qing dynasty. Living in the western-styled house is a symbol of power for the military officials.

West Gate Ladies are rich young ladies who are highly educated and cultured. East Gate Master, are young masters who have further their studies abroad. Both the West Gate Ladies and East Gate Masters are perceived by society as outstanding people, therefore mutual admiration and love is expected by the society. However, does happiness really exist in this supposed 'perfect match'?

Yip Heung Ching is born in West Gate and hails from a prominent family. Unfortunately, her father passed away when she was a little girl. All she has left is an older brother, Heung Yeung. they are both young and inexperienced, and soon they find themselves heavily in debt. Heung Ching and Heung Yeung have to fend for themselves by selling porridge at Lai Wan. Busy fending for a living, the last thing on Heung Ching's mind is a love relationship, that is until she met Poon Cheuk Wah. It is obvious that there are disparities in their social standings and background. Cheuk Wah's mother, Chong Fung Yi, objects their relationship and tries to break them up in every possible way.

Cheuk Wah later marries Bo Kei but couldn't forget Heung Ching straining his relationship with his new wife. It turns out that Bo Kei, a young heiress, has another sweetheart - a gangster named Kwan Ho Cheung. Due to the differences in their status, they also have to part ways. However after Bo Kei marries Cheuk Wah, she slowly understands the meaning of true love.

Muk Hing, hails from a humble background and works for the Poons as their driver. Muk Hing's real identity was revealed when Cheuk Wah met with an accident. Muk Hing also helped Heung Ching to set up her own teahouse business and both fell in love.

Soon the Poon family runs into trouble, more than Cheuk Wah and Fung Yi could handle. Muk Hing seizes the chance to restore the family's prestige. But to do that, he has to sacrifise his loved ones - the woman he loves, his family and his friends! Is it all worth it?

The Four: Ratings affected by the Asian Financial Crisis?

The lead actors from The Four recently attended the promotional function for the series. The ratings have been average, achieving 28 points last week. Raymond Lam, who played Mo Ching, thinks that the ratings are affected by the fall of the Asian Stock Markets.

The cast were not disappointed with the ratings with Raymond mentioning that the ratings 'pretty good' as it is in the 8.30 time slot. Raymond theorise that no one is in the mood to watch TVB series after the collapse of the share market as the series is watched by many other overseas subscribers besides HK residents.

During the promotional event, Selena Li was crowned the Limbo Rock champion. When she was going under the bar, Ron Ng and Sammul Chan fooled around and caused the bamboo stick to drop and fall onto Selena's head. Selena said, "It was actually painful-lah, Ron and Sammul are really playful, luckily no one was injured."

Chu Kot recruited four constables to work with him in the bureau. They are Mo Ching, Zhui Ming (a cunning conman), Tit Sau (an honest and kind man) and Lang Huet (an aloof yet agile but cold-blooded man). They are collectively called "The Four".

Under the leadership and guidance of Chu Kot, the Sheriff Bureau has solved many difficult cases. After experiencing the trials and tribulations with the other 3 constables, Mo Ching has learnt to be more humble and less arrogant. he soon develop feelings for Sung Zhi Yan, a physician. However, Zhi Yan manipulate Mo Ching's affections and seize this opportunity to break up the team. Zhi Yan intentionally create a rift between Mo Ching and Tit Sau.

Chu Kot himself is also stuck in a precarious position, trying to expose the rebellion of Wong Chiu Cheong and Choi Ging, risking his life and driving himself away from The Four.
