Aimee Chan talked about her chilhood ambition

Aimee Chan TVB

When Aimee Chan was a little girl, her choice of ambition was to be a police officer. However, her mother felt that being a police officer is too dangerous, thus forced Aimee to change her ambition. Aimee drops her dream but thanks to Burning Flame 3 Aimee gets to taste what it is like to be one.

Aimee's character in Burning Flame 3, Easy, is a straightforward person. She is frank and very tomboy-ish. Usually Aimee takes on feminine roles, but the role of Easy posed some challenges for Aimee.

To prep herself for this role, Aimee watched past TVB productions with police themes such as Armed Reaction and The Academy Franchise. Aimee shares, ""Earlier I spent a lot of time learning how to have that female police officer mentality. I watched 'Armed Reaction' and 'The Academy' to learn how they talk and what they usually do. Even the walking style, I would try to do."

Aimee gets into character and reveals that she changed into another person during filming. "I am like that. Whatever role I play, it will impact me in reality in some way. Becoming a female officer in such a short period of time, friends thought that I changed, but it's nothing. After a while, I will be back to normal," explains Aimee.

Aimee not only dreams of becoming a police officer, she also has a penchant for all things in uniform. She shares that she owns many uniforms and military items in her personal collection which she started since she was a child. Reporters ask if Aimee would specifically targets men in uniform as her potential life partner, but Aimee clarifies, "Well I won't look for one purpose, he doesn't have to work in the rescue discipline There also needs to be fate! Let fate decide."

Flora laughed off the question and says, "Haha, you have to ask my manager....there might have been a raise." Reporters also asked Flora if she hopes to boost her popularity with this series, which she replies, "At this stage, I am not going to think too much, there are many things in life I can't control. While filming for Burning Flame III was on-going, there were plenty of rumours that alleged that Wong Hei and Kevin Cheng do not get along well. At this promo event, the two male leads had no interaction with one another except towards the end when a group photo was taken. Wong Hei stood next to Kevin Cheng. Reporters quickly seized the chance to ask Wong Hei about his character, Chung Yau Sing, who offends almost everyone in the series. Wong Hei reasoned that he was not the one who wrote the script. Reporters pushed their luck and further asked Wong Hei if his real life characteristics mirrored those of Chung Yau Sing. Wong Hei claimed that he does not understand the question. He also left immediately once the event was over. The PR personnel explained that Wong Hei has other obligations and had to leave immediately.

Moses Chan shares his passion for coffee

Moses Chan Ho

Most TVB artistes usually double up as a singer - think Raymond Lam, Myolie Wu, Linda Chung among others. However, that's not the case with Moses Chan. Instead of becoming a singer, this coffee enthusiast decides to publish a book, or specifically a book about coffee. The coffee book [My Coffee Guide - 給咖啡偷一杯時間] is scheduled to be published mid July.

Although there are other celebrities/artistes releasing books as well this summer, Moses does not feel pressured. He believes everyone's goals is different and there won't be any conflicts among them. "I'm not afraid that my coffee book won't have enough attraction. Nowadays books are very diverse, every author has different goals, so there should not be any conflict. I never thought of the sales results, I only want to fulfill my dream, hoping to be the middle-man, introducing coffee to everyone; to people who likes coffee."

Moses Chan Ho

Moses started his career as a model before becoming an actor. He shared that when he was a teenager, he wanted to participate in a photo shoot for a photo book. "When I was a teenager, I thought that my body figure was nice, so I was full of self-confidence. I also thought about releasing a photo album before, but as I got older I became more conservative," reveals Moses.

Moses' goals have shifted as he matures. His passion now revolves around coffee. He wants to share all his coffee experiences with everyone.

Nancy Wu: Reaping the fruits of hard work!

Nancy Wu
Nancy Wu at TVB Anniversary Awards 2008

Nancy Wu has already been in then entertainment industry for approximately 7 years, but the roles that she has played so far are either a flirtatious girl or villain roles. Nancy says regardless of the type of roles she gets, she still has fun undertaking them. "The audience nowadays expect more, they have higher expectations on artistes. In "Rosy Business", they like to watch how I flirt, how I attract others to seduce me, keep watching how my role changes. To be a flirty and likable girl at the same time is definitely not something easy to do, it's really hard!" explains Nancy.

Nancy expressed that she doesn't think villain roles are bad, but in fact, villain roles have a greater opportunity to develop and grow. "Many people don't like to be villains, but I usually encounter these roles, it could be consider my luck. In Rosy Business, I play a girl who has an affair, even my mom got very into the series, she would always say 'how could that be!', I really feel a sense of accomplishment!" Nancy reveals that there are many producers who offer her challenging roles and she feels that it's a risk to cast her in them. "They are really very brave, sometimes I don't even have enough confidence for myself that I could do well on that role, I'm more afraid that I may ruin the role instead, but the Producers are still taking this big risk in giving me the role, they may have looked for the wrong person, I truly admire their courage." says Nancy.

There are a few artistes who are natural actors, while others take time to improve. Nancy says that she's lucky as she has never had anyone criticise her acting. She expresses gratitude to her fellow colleagues who has helped her improve and advance. Nancy explains, "Many colleagues help me, give me advice and many Producers give me opportunities. But when I first entered the industry because I had too many lazy sounds when I speak, therefore making many people scold me! One time I was on a TV show, someone told me: "Ah Lui, you have so many lazy sounds, you will never in your life time be able to change it!' The person made it seem like I had no hope at all, but I did not give up. I know artistes need to have good pronunciation, an artist's voice is a priority. So each day, I would read the newspaper out loud to improve my pronunciation. Now no one had said anything about my speech!""

It is not an easy task to climb the ladder to success. Usually, the easiest route would be to stir up news and generate gossips, but fortunately, Nancy does not agree with these methods. "This circle, each person has a different goal, each person has a different lifestyle. There are ways to reach the top, but make sure you're able to pass your conscience first."

Nancy admits that she is not the type of person to win awards, and realises that the TV Queen title is far from her reach. She explains that winning the Most Improved Female Artist award last year is already a huge encouragement. She hopes that there will come the day when she will get to take on a legendary role and that would make her feel successful.

Every girl wants to be loved and find love. Nancy is no different. She admits that she wants a boyfriend who will support her and lend her a shoulder to cry on. After her much publicised break-up with Deep Ng, Nancy is seen on her own until rumours of her dating another artiste surfaced recently. She is rumoured to be dating Kenneth Ma (Man-In-Charge, Speech of Silence), but Nancy strongly denies this! "We have never dated, so I'm not sure if we are compatible or not! But he is truly a good person!" gushes Nancy.

TVB Review: We wish Nancy all the best in her future endeavors, and may she find her Prince Charming!

He explains that he is the only one who wears "weird" clothes!
