With no one left to rely on, Hoi Man called Alex for help. They have moved out from the hotel and is not living in a dingy hostel. Hoi Man is now without money and without a job. Hoi Man is very adamant that she doesn't want to move home.
Sing Hei knows that Alan Ma from a stock broking firm is looking for Lap Yin. He is curious because previously Lap Yin has told him and Pui Ka that he has lost money. Lap Yin was smiling when he was on the phone with Alan Ma, so Sing Hei knows that Lap Yin is lying. Kelly offered to treat Sing Hei to dinner because she won some money from stocks investments. She also mentioned that the stocks were recommended by Lap Yin. Kelly said she learning about investments from Lap Yin who has been investing for a few years now and constantly wins.
Kelly and Sing Hei goes to Cheung Chau for one night. While Kelly seemed to be enjoying herself tremendously, Sing Hei can't stop thinking about Pui Ka. When Kelly was taking her bath, Sing Hei managed to log in to her PDA and get the passcode for the office safe. But Kelly saw him checking on her PDA. She conclude that Sing Hei got together with her to get company secrets. Finally Sing Hei admit that he did check her PDA for the passcode but lied that all he wants is to investigate Hoi Man's claims that Lap Yin cheated Fei Ba's will. Sing Hei said he couldn't bear to see Hoi Man and Lap Yin fighting. He swear to Kelly that he didn't manage to see the code. Luckily Kelly accepts his explanation.
Lap Yin was rushing off to meet a client. Kelly wants him to check the finance statement, so he asked her to place the document on his table. He also asked Kelly and Sing Hei to turn on the security cameras before they leave. Sing Hei asked Kelly to buy dinner for him so that he can finish off some work before they go dating. With Kelly out of the office, Sing Hei opened up the safe in Lap Yin's office and go through his documents. He realised that Lap Yin had indeed invested Fei Ba's money in stocks but instead of losing, Lap Yin actually made profit. Sing Hei made copies of the documents.
Lap Yin knows that Alex is secretly helping Hoi Man. So, when Alex made a small mistake, Lap Yin seizes the chance to fire him. Sing Hei sends the copies of the documents he "stole" to Pui Ka anonymously and hoped that she will conduct her own investigation.
Pui Ka received the documents and is puzzled. She began to wonder why Lap Yin lied to her about the profit from the shares. She called Alan (Lap Yin's agent) and set up an appointment with him, pretending that she wants to invest her money.
Lap Yin saw Hoi Man going through recruitment ads in the newspaper. He advised her not to apply for jobs in adjuster firms as she doesn't have the qualifications. She could only work in Lap Yin's company because he is her brother and he allows her to learn in her own time. Lap Yin told Hoi Man that she can move home anytime as long as she is willing to admit that she was wrong.
Hoi Man returned to her rented room and saw everything in a mess. She went around looking for Leng ma and found her on the roof top. Leng Ma was extremely depressed and wanted to commit suicide. Leng Ma assumes all responsibility for everything that has happened - Fei Ba's death, Grandma's death and Hoi Man's fight with Lap Yin. Luckily Hoi Man managed to convince Leng Ma to continue to live.
Hoi Man send Leng Ma to the hospital for check up. Lap Yin and Pui Ka rushed to the hospital to see Leng Ma. Lap Yin apologises to Leng Ma for being too strict and too harsh on Hoi Man. Hoi Man was upset to see Lap Yin at the hospital. Lap Yin blamed her for not taking care of Leng Ma. He told her that he has already found a doctor to treat Leng Ma's illness in England and is now waiting for the reply. Lap Yin wanted to take Leng Ma home but Hoi Man said he has no right as Leng Ma is not his biological mother.
Outside the hospital, Pui Ka confronted Lap Yin. She asked him why he lied to her about the profit from the investments. Lap Yin was surprised and asked her how she found out. She said Alan Ma informed her about his winnings. Lap Yin is left with no choice but to admit that he lied. He claimed that Hoi Man is immature, naive, stubborn and rash. He can't trust her with so much money.
Doctor informed Hoi Man that Leng Ma is having severe depression. She needs to be in a happy and hopeful environment. Hoi Man made the decision to return home for Leng Ma's sake. Lap Yin wants Hoi Man to kneel down in front of him to seek his forgiveness. She has to admit all her wrong doings and actions before he allows her to return home.
