Keen Yip managed to locate the owner of the leather goods factory, Chan Kui Wing, in Dong Goon. Sing Hei met up with Keen Yip there to get answers from Kui wing. Unfortunately, Kui Wing condition now is not good, he is sick and in lots of debts.
Kui Wing was reluctant to share any information with Sing Hei and Keen Yip at first, but after pursuasion from Sing Hei, who also offered to pay his medical bills, he agreed. Kui Wing was the owner of the leather factory but he faced some financial difficulties. He decided to burn down his factory and claim insurance for it. The insurance firm seek the assistance of a Claims Adjuster company to investigate this matter, and the person assigned to this case is Lap Yin. Kui Wing wanted to bribe Lap Yin but he is afraid that Lap Yin will report to the ICAC. As such, he asked Tse Leung, who is his friend, to negotiate with Lap Yin. Kui Wing still keeps the bank deposit slip which he made the bribery payment to Tse Leung and Lap Yin.
Pui Ka hosted a barbecue dinner for Lap Yin and his family. Even Sing Hei and his mother also joined them. Kit Yee asked Lap Yin to go to Tse Leung's house (the crime scene) to check on the roof leakage. Sing Hei offered to go along with Lap Yin to check.
Sing Hei went to the spot where he "killed" Tse Leung and think back. He then questioned Lap Yin about his theory of Keen Yip is the murderer. Lap Yin explained that Keen Yip could've stood at a spot and watch Sing Hei beat Tse Leung up. And after Sing Hei left, then Keen Yip killed Tse Leung.
Flashback scene: Instead of Keen Yip, it was actually Lap Yin!
Lap Yin told Sing Hei to let the past remain in the past and Sing Hei agreed. Sing Hei said he also had forgiven Keen Yip as Cheung See begged him to do so. Lap Yin the drop the bombshell that he had proposed to Pui Ka and she has accepted.
Sing Hei was upset by this news and pressured Keen Yip to quickly make arrangements for Kui Wing's surgery. Sing Hei asked him for the bank-in slip but Kui Wing said he didn't bring it with him. He is afraid that Sing Hei will take the slip and not pay for his surgery.
Lap Yin and Pui Ka announce their engagement to Lap Yin's family.Leng Ma advised them that they have to make the preparations for the wedding seriously. They shouldn't rush and make hasty preparations. They must also adhere to the traditions and superstitions. Grandma told them that if there's any birthdays in the family then they can't have the wedding in the same month. Fei Ba said that this tradition was not considered when he was planning his wedding. Grandma was upset and told them this is the Tong family tradition and it's up to them to do whatever they please.
Pui Ka was under the impression that Grandma didn't like her as her granddaughter-in-law. But Grandma loved her. Grandma told her it was Lap Yin that she didn't like. She advised Pui Ka not to marry Lap Yin as she thinks Lap Yin is not good enough for her.
Pui Ka told Lap Yin what Grandma said but Lap Yin was adamant that no matter what, he'll continue with their wedding. He said he will not allow anyone to stop him from marrying Pui Ka. Pui Ka also expressed her complete trust in Lap Yin.
Lap Yin brought Leng Ma to the hospital for check-up. He saw Kui Wing in the hospital's cafeteria and was shocked. Kit Yee brought some snacks from Dong Goon to Lap Yin's house. Lap Yin asked her if Sing Hei went to Dong Goon but Kit Yee said it was Keen Yip who went. She told Lap Yin that Keen Yip constantly goes to Dong Goon as he has factories there.
Upon hearing this, Lap Yin is suspicious that Sing Hei might have known that Keen Yip is not the real murderer. He starts to spy on Sing Hei. After work, Sing Hei went to look for Keen Yip and Lap Yin followed him there.
