As Taiwanese pop group S.H.E's Selina Ren was recently injured while filming an explosion scene for a TV series in Shanghai, Jessica shares her concern. "When we heard the word fire, we were especially worried, we have to be careful. Before when I was filming a series, there was a glass breaking scene, that time I used a stunt double to help me do it, the martial artist got burnt and was sent to the hospital," reveals Jessica.

Vivien adds that when her boyfriend heard that she has to film a scene that involves fire, he was very worried about her safety.

After the filming for this series wraps, Myolie will only have a few days of break before going to Chengdu, China to film a new series with Bosco Wong.

No Regrets premiere with 32 points average ratings

TVB Anniversary series No Regrets premiered on Monday, with average ratings of 32 points. Lead actor, Wayne Lai was previously quoted as wishing for a 38-point average on opening night, but alas that was not meant to be. However, No Regrets did better that its predecessor, Rosy Business, which only chalked up a 27-point average.
Wayne Lai Sheren Tang No Regrets TVB
[No Regrets] is highly anticipated by most series fans, after the success of [Rosy Business] the previous year. After the premiere episode, there were many active discussions in online forums and blogs. Many netizens praised the series, but there were also some who were critical.

Some viewers are very sensitive and have great eye for details. As the series was set in Guangzhou in the 1930s, some viewers spotted a few prop flaws, i.e the helmet worn by Evergreen Mak was not used during that period and the police car was also too ahead in time.

Wayne Lai refuted these prop flaws, "TV series has limited resources, we have to find a Guangzhou police car used 70 years ago in HK, that is not something easy to do. It is just like watching opera, when the actors rides a horse, they only hold a riding whip. Would you then request that they actually bring a real live horse on stage to ride on? Having this type of standards for props, it would be difficult to shoot a historical drama."

Wayne expressed that he appreciates viewers feedback and criticisms, but hoped that viewers will pay more attention to the storyline instead of picking on prop flaws. Wayne also clarified about his 38-point rating wish, "38 points is just a wish, the current average rating is 32 points, peaking at 36, it's already a satisfying result. I am feeling positive that the ratings in the future will increase."

It is rumoured that Charmaine Sheh may not be attending this year TVB Anniversary Awards as she will be filming in China, thus "increasing" Sheren Tang's chances of taking home the TV Queen award. Sheren brushed these rumours aside, "How is that related? Why label people who attend will get an award? If Charmaine really wins, TVB will tell her to come back, so this saying is not true." Sheren revealed that she will be in China as well for work commitments, but will return to Hong Kong is the need arises. She also added that she feels normal towards the awards race, as the most important thing is viewers praise and ratings.

Natalie Tong no longer a frail girl

Natalie Tong, last seen in The Comeback Clan, is currently filming new series The Truth with Raymond Wong and Tavia Yeung. Filming during summer has been tough for Natalie. She says that she has been physically weak and can easily succumb to heatstroke which may cause her to faint.

Natalie is determined to rid herself of the "frail girl" tag. She starts taking Chinese medicinal herbs to improve on her health. She shares that she has low blood pressure and as such, she gets dizzy easily. She also reveals that people who work with her are sometimes very frightened as she may faint anytime.

However, after taking the Chinese medicinal herbs for a few months now, Natalie can feel the difference. "It has been effective, even if I don't have enough sleep, it's no problem," says Natalie.

The storyline for The Truth is reportedly based on actual happenings. Natalie explains that there is a sense of challenge filming the series. "The story is not based on imaginations, have to think back on to how the person involved was feeling, there's a fresh feeling [to this style of acting]," Natalie explains.

After filming for The Truth wraps up (tentatively end of November), Natalie will film a Qing Dynasty period series. She will be collaborating with Sunny Chan and hopes to seek more advise from him. Calling Sunny her "si fu" or loosely translated as mentor, Natalie reveals that she has worked with Sunny in many series prior. She shares that he is very good in acting and has taught her a lot.

Felix Wong hailed as the "dark horse" in the TV King battle

The competition for 2010 TVB Anniversary Awards is heating up. The top favourites this year are the duo from Can't Buy Me Love, Moses Chan and Charmaine Sheh battling the duo (and also last year's winning pair) of Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang from No Regrets.

However, Felix Wong is now thrown into the race after being hailed as the dark horse by his co-star from Gun Metal Grey, Michael Miu. Even Moses Chan has praises for Felix and admits that the competition is fierce.

On Monday (October 18), TVB will hold its 43 Annual Lighting Ceremony. At this event the list of nominees for the upcoming Anniversary Awards will also be announced. Many fans and viewers anticipate that the leads from No Regrets, Wayne and Sheren will lead the nomination list and build the momentum leading up to the awards. TVB is heavily promoting No Regrets making the series and its cast a strong contender for the awards.

Nonetheless, Can't Buy Me Love also has its strengths. Although the series has ended its run, it is the highest rated series in 2010 to date. It also stars the winner of 2007's TV King, Moses Chan and 2006's TV Queen, Charmaine Sheh. The strong battle between Can't Buy Me Love and No Regrets reminded viewers and fans of last year's battle between Beyond the Realm of Conscience and Rosy Business.

Producer Lee Tim Sing, who is the producer for No Regrets, openly pledges his support for Wayne and Sheren, pointing out that this award winning duo have a strong chance of taking the awards in two consequtive years! "I saw Charmaine’s performance in Can't Buy Me Love, she has definitely improved a lot, however in terms of acting, it’s hard to compete with Sheren. I think there is a huge chance that this year’s TV King and Queen will be a ‘repeat’ of last year," says Producer Lee.

Bosco Wong bids a sad farewell to Kapun

There are many known pet lovers among the current crop of TVB artistes - Bosco Wong, Charmaince Sheh and Bernice Liu among others.
Bosco's pet dog, Kapun, who starred in Burning Flame III passed away a few day ago. Bosco was very sad over the passing of Kapun and poured his grief over Weibo: Son! Why did you leave me like that? I didn't even get to see you for the last time, you tell me how can I forgive myself. Seeing your stiff body, holding onto your cold paws, I tried hard holding back my tears because I am the man of the house, my mom besides me already has tears rolling down. I have to take care of the situation. I have to hold back the tears, but my tears are flowing out of my heart, I could only whisper in your ear: 'You will always be the Wong Family's good son, be a human in your next life, we will have father-son fate again.'

Bosco rushed Kapun, who was diagnosed with bacterial infection to the vet's and Kapun had to be hospitalised for further treatment. Bosco could not believe that Kapun went to the hospital and "never came home again"!

After sorting out Kapun's memorial, Bosco left another message on Weibo: I stay quietly at home, silently recalling your shadow, gently sniffing your odor, I know your odor will slowly be gone with the wind, but your odor will always remain in [your] father's heart, you will always have a spot in our family! Son, thank you for bringing me 6 years of happiness. Although it wasn't any substantial long happiness, son, you can go peacefully. Dad will forever love you. Whether your a human or dog in afterlife, Dad will always welcome you back in his arms, leave happily!

Bosco has many friends and fans who left him numerous messages to comfort him in his time of loss. Myolie Wu (Bosco's rumoured girlfriend) also left a message for Bosco on Weibo: Don't blame yourself anymore, this is absolutely not the result anyone could see coming, Kapun was sick, you brought him to the doctor, you have done all you could as a responsible father. You have done what you should have done, but no one could predict the final result. Please don't be too sad, we will send our blessings for Kapun to have a good journey together. In the future, with fate can definitely reunite!

May Kapun rest in peace. May Bosco finds peace in this trying times.
