Yan Hong knows that she's in trouble when Nien Tze Yong revealed that she had an affair with Tai Jo even before Chuen committed suicide. She knows she has got to act fast to salvage her spot in the family. At breakfast, Yan Hong voluntarily appologise to the whole family, in particular the children, saying that she's the wrong party and hope to get their forgiveness.
Hor Ma is worried about Chung. She asked Ka about Chung but Ka said nothing is wrong. Ka also informed Hor Ma that Chung will return to Manchester that same night. Hor Ma get Ho to drive her to the airport. She managed to reach before Chung flies off but Chung is with Lai and Yan Hong, so Hor Ma spoke to him ont he phone instead.
Sa Yee blamed Yuet for taking up a "placement" as one of Hor Ma's children that she has custody of. Sa Yee says that Yuet is only a lo lui (cantonese for adopted daughter), and if Yuet isn't around, Hor Ma would have been given custody of her three biological children. But because Hor Ma has custody of Yuet, so Hor Ma can only take 2 of her biological children leaving Tai Jo with 3 biological children. In Sa Yee's eyes, Hor Ma lost to Tai Jo over an adopted child.
Yuet was hurt by Sa Yee's words and this lead to them having a huge arguement. Hor Ma then have a talk with Yuet and Hing, tell them to bear with Sa Yee as she is family.
Ho is on the look out for office jobs again for Hing. He convinced Hing to attend the interview but Hing is initially reluctant, but he finally succeeded. Hing asked Ho to buy her new clothes for the job interview and he agreed.
On the day of the interview, Ho send sms to Hing to ask her about the interview. Hing reassured him that she is fine. It turns out that Hing actually did not attend the interview and she was instead pushing the trolley cart after delivering mooncakes. Coincidentally, Ho was at the same street as her. Needless to say, they saw each other!
Sa Yee took Tat Suk to a coffeeshop and ask to borrow HKD 400,000 from him. Although Tat Suk was skeptical and a little reluctant, he finally gave in to her demands. He went to the bank to withdraw the money but bumped into Yuet there. Yuet was shocked that Tat Suk needs so much money. She quickly informed Hor Ma.
Hor Ma question Sa Yee but Sa Yee refused to reveal the reason she needs so much money. She insist that it's her privacy and there isn't a need for her to tell them the reason. Tat Suk didn't want the family to misunderstand Sa Yee so he explained to them. Aparently, Sa Yee needs the money for her lawyer fees in Portugal. She wants to sue her ex-husband for alimony and part of the divorce settlement as he was the one who cheated on her. In the end Hor Ma decides to share the HKD 400,000 with Tat Suk, so each of them lend HKD 200,000 to Sa Yee.
Sum dropped by Hor Ma's bakery to tell Hing that she found a job for Hing. The employer knows that Hing is mute but he doesn't mind. The whole family encourage Hing to attend and this time she really did attend. Ho went with her to act as her interpreter. During the interview, the interviewer asked Hing to share with them he likes and dislikes. She told them what she really wants to do is to be able to laugh, literally laugh out loud. She says that even she if laughs, there's no sound and she feels ashamed. And its the same when she cries, there is no sound. So even if she is really sad, she won't cry. She told them that Ho really loves her and knows what's going through her mind. He's the one who understands her best. She ends the interview by asking them to give her a chance as she really likes the job.
On her first day of work, Hing meets up with Yuet for lunch as their offices are nearby. Hing told Yuet that her colleagues are busy and she feels useless. Yuet told her that she has to take the initiative to help out. She approached her colleague, Kelvin, to ask if there's anything she can do. He needs someone to send some drafts to a client's place and Hing offered to do that. She convinced Kelvin that she can do it. Kelvin agreed to let her try.
Hing has to deliver the drafts by 5.30 pm and the time she left office was already 5.10pm and she was stuck in the jam. The taxi driver told her it would be faster if she walked there. So she walked... but the inevitable happened. She got lost. She quickly sms-ed Ho to ask for help. Ho together with Hor Ma and Hor Ma's si lai friends managed to help Hing reach her destination. But she was late! Luckily the client was forgiving. They appreciate Hing's efforts and thanked her for a job well done.
