Filming of Triumph in the Skies 2 postponed

When Triumph in the Skies was broadcast in 2003, it was well received by audiences and achieved good results. As such, TVB recently announced that a sequel for the series will be filmed. However, TVB announced this week that the filming of the sequel will start in December instead of September as previously scheduled. Among the artistes who are rumoured to be involved include Michael Miu, Ron Ng, Kenneth Ma, Bosco Wong, Myolie Wu, Kate Tsui, Fala Chen and Nancy Wu among others.

The series involves high budget and an airline sponsor. Although the production department has commitment from the artistes involved to film in September, it is rumoured that the sponsor has some changes thus causing the filming to be delayed.

The producer for [TITS2] Tommy Leung says, "That is a fact, before we marked up the September schedule for the artists, but because there were problems with the sponsoring airline and we couldn't fly over to the locations for shooting yet, that the schedule was postponed to December. So, we gave the artists back their September schedules."

It is alsoo rumoured that many artistes turned down other jobs in Spetember to commit to filming [TITS2]. Ron Ng was supposed to film a series in China but turned it down for [TITS2]. Now Ron is apparently making a U-turn and trying to renegotiate with the China producers. He says, "still discussing now, if I can't get the China series, I'll just treat September as a time for resting."

As for Myolie Wu, she was rumoured to have reschedule the work on her music album to a later date to accommodate the filming of [TITS2]. Although currently the filming for [TITS2] has been delayed to December, she will be filming Ghetto Justice 2 instead.
