It's now Man Suk's turn at the police station. Ming and Ching rushed to the police station upon hearing that Man Suk was there. Mei explained the situation to her brothers. She was at the cafe to help Ying Ying collect a watch from Ying Ying's ex-boyfriend. Mei wanted to use the toilet at the cafe. When she opened the toilet door, she accidentally cut her finger and there was blood. Mei, who faints at the sight of blood, becomes woozy. Luckily there was a man there to catch her before she falls. And that's when Man Suk saw them. Without waiting for any explanation, Man Suk immediately punched the man.
Mei also found out that Man Suk had eavesdropped on her conversation with Ying Ying. The man that Man Suk punched is hospitalised, but his condition is alright. He has not decided if he wants to take action against Man Suk. Ming and Ching tried to console Man Suk and assure him that everything will be alright.
Man Suk felt useless that he could not protect his own daughter. Mei tried to cheer Man Suk up by cooking noodles for him. Ching also suggest that they visit the man the next day to apologise. Coincidentally, Ching discovered that the man, Patrick, is actually Abbie's (his girlfriend) nephew. What a small world. However, Man Suk felt even more embarrassed that he actually punched an acquaintance and acted so rashly.
The next day, Ching visited Patrick at the hospital. Patrick was also amused to learn that the was actually punched by Ching's father. As the two families knew each other, Patrick will not be suing Man Suk for damages, and the family is relieved.
Chung's landlord, Mrs Cheung, visited her at her clay model shop. Mrs Cheung wanted the house she rented to Chung back. Mrs Cheung reasoned that she has an ailing relative in China whom she wishes to take care of. She wants the relative to stay in Chung's house which is why she needs to take back the house from Chung. Chung reluctantly agreed to Mrs Cheung's request.
Chung has a realtor friend, Pansy. Pansy helped Chung look for a nearby place. As it turns out, Chung's new apartment unit is actually next to Ming's unit. Pansy told Chung that the said unit is the best unit she has. Pansy also convinced Chung to buy the apartment instead of renting. She promised Chung that she will not earn any commission off her but Chung declined. Pansy relented and said she will take minimal commission from Chung.
Pansy is actually working with Mrs Cheung (Chung's landlord) behind Chung's back. Mrs Chung wanted to sell off her house so Pansy taught her to tell a white lie to Chung. Also, Pansy is Mrs Cheung's realtor for the sales of her house, so Pansy is also profiting commission from Mrs Cheung.
Ching brought his whole family to visit Patrick at his cafe. Ching also tried to make coffee as he worked as a barista before in the US. Patrick also explained tha meaning of his cafe's name, Lau Lau Dei, to Man Suk. Patrick accidentally reveal to Man Suk and Yuk that Ching has an interview in Hong Kong. They are happy to know that Ching is considering staying back in Hong Kong.
Man Suk and Yuk decided to cook up a feast of all Ching's favourite dishes so he would consider staying in Hong Kong. They tried to get Mei to ask Ching about his job but she declined as she did not want to be a spy. Man Suk and Yuk then coerce Ming to get the latest update from Ching. They wanted to know how Ching's interview went and what his future plans are.
Ching said his interview went well. Both job offers in US and Hong Kong are just as interesting and challenging but he prefers the environment in the US. He says he is used to the American lifestyle.
Ching finally told Man Suk that the job offer in Hong Kong is not as attractive as the job offer in US. Man Suk felt disappointed that Ching is not staying back in Hong Kong but put on a happy face in front of Ching. He advised Ching to take the better offer and is supportive of Ching's decisions.
Before Ching leaves for US the whole family plans to go on a short getaway. They re-visit the place they used to go when they were young. While trekking to the picnic area, Ching realised that his parents are no longer as young as he thought they are. They have aged over the years and Ching realised that it's his responsibility to care for them. Ching made the decision not to return to the US. He will stay in Hong Kong with his family.
