E.U. Emergency Unit: Episode 16 to 18

Episode 16
Even though Pak Kiu insists that Lap Man is an undercover cop, Lap Man brushed that thought off as ridiculous! He insists that he's a real triad member and it's all because of Pak Kiu who told on him helping Hau Ko to transport drugs.

Hau Ko has some engagements and assigns Laughin to hold the weekly meeting at Chun Hing on his behalf. Jor Lun is unhappy with the arrangement and starts a ruckus. However, Fai Ye (a triad elder and also Jor Lun's father) manage to settle the issue and instructs Jor Lun to shut up. When Laughin questions Chung about the set up of the drug business, Chung remains tight-lipped and says he is only answerable to Hau Ko alone.

Laughin was drinking with Lap Man in Mega when he heard a news report about a death of a policewoman. The policewoman is Wendy his ex-girlfriend. He gets really drunk and keeps on saying that he is indebted to Wendy. Lap Man was helping Laughin home when Sam Jie sees them by the side of the road. She offers to let Laughin stay over at her place.

As Lap Man was leaving Sam Jie's place, Yau Yau and Hau Ko return. Yau Yau asks Lap Man how he celebrate his recent birthday but Lap Man says he went out drinking and singing Karaoke with La Ba and the gang. They even had call girls accompanying them for the night.

Laughin wakes up from his drunken slumber and Sam Jie made him Ginseng tea. Sam Jie asks about Wendy and he shares his heartbreak story with her.

Yau Yau interrogates La Ba about the night of Lap Man's birthday. La Ba reveals that although there were call girls, he was the one present, while Lap Man wasn't there at all. Yau Yau is happy to learn that Lap Man had lied to her and goes off to confront him. To be nearer to Lap Man, Yau Yau hangs out at Mega Disco and the snooker center. Lap Man feels uneasy when she mixes with other guys. Finally Lap Man agrees to be friends again with Yau Yau. They do the silly things they used to do such as going out on pretend dates, which caused Yau Yau to develop even more feelings for Lap Man.

Yuk Bo and Pak Kiu starts to date and they dine at Fa Si Lai and Sam Jie's restaurant unknowingly. When Sam Jie appears, Yuk Bo lost her appetite and refuses to eat. Fa Si Lai realises that Yuk Bo will be going home soon and she has to be there before Yuk Bo returns. As she is rushing, Sam Jie offers to send her.

Fa Si Lai admits to Sam Jie that she should be telling Yuk Bo the truth that Sam Jie is her real sister and not cousin. Yuk Bo overheard the conversation and storms off. Sam Jie chases after her and the two sisters have another confrontation. Fa Si Lai who was waiting for them nearby was attacked by one of the "Head Hitters" and has to be rushed to the hospital.

Doctor confirms that Fa Si Lai's brain is bleeding and she needs surgery, but there are risks. If she does not have surgery, they can hope for the blood clod to slowly dissolve but if it doesn't then Fa Si Lai's life will be in danger. Both Yuk Bo and Sam Jie are at a loss and could not decide what is best for their mother.

Hau Ko instructs Laughin and Lap Man to track down the head hitter culprit, while Pak Kiu is also looking for the suspect. Pak Kiu and Lap Man managed to track the suspect to a abandoned outskirt area. There were four motorbikes used by the head hitters. Lap Man and Pak Kiu managed to overpower the suspect. Lap Man wants to bring the suspect back to Chun Hing but Pak Kiu asks Lap Man to surrender the suspect to the police. Pak Kiu reasons that if the suspect is brought back to Chun Hing he will definitely die. Laughin who arrived shortly to help Lap Man witnessed Pak Kiu and Lap Man's exchange. Laughin now suspects Lap Man's identity.

Episode 17

Laughin and Lap Man informs Hau Ko that the head hitter was arrested by the police first. Hau Ko is disappointed as he knows the suspect will only be imprisoned even though Fa Si Lai is on the verge of death. Laughin hints to Lap Man that he is the leader and Lap Man must stay true to him.

Wu Sir praised Pak Kiu's team for solving the case quickly although they are still unsure who is the real master mind behind the team of head hitters.

Although Fa Si Lai is still in critical condition, Yuk Bo reports for duty. On one of their rounds, Yuk Bo even managed to save a drowning woman and completes her responsibility as a police officer. Chiu Sir is very proud of Yuk Bo and praises her.

Hau Ko hires a neurosurgeon from Singapore to treat Fa Si Lai. Yuk Bo is unhappy that the surgeon is hired by Hau Ko as the money used to pay the surgeon is "dirty money". The surgeon informs them that Fa Si Lai's condition is worsening and they cannot hold off having the surgery any later. Yuk Bo refuses to listen to Sam Jie's advise so Hau Ko tells Pak Kiu to advise her as he is the only rational one.

Hau Ko convinces Sam Jie to go ahead with the surgery regardless of what Yuk Bo thinks. Laughin chips in and helps Sam Jie toss a coin to decide. In the end, Pak Kiu also successfully convinced Yuk Bo to agree to the surgery. The surgery was supposed to take 10 hours but it got extended. Yuk Bo and Sam Jie worry endlessly and seeks comfort in each other's embrace.

The surgery was successful and Fa Si Lai has no problem recognising everyone present at her bedside. She also found out that Yuk Bo and Pak Kiu are dating and is delighted.

Hau Ko sends a very tired Sam Jie home. When they reached, Sam Jie was already asleep in the car so Hau Ko decides to let her sleep and not wake her up. When she wakes up much later, she was touched by Hau Ko's thoughtfulness.

Yau Yau invites Lap Man over to her house after assuring him that Sam Jie and Hau Ko will be out. She tells him that she will be giving him the most important thing in her life... which is the completed draft of her travel book!

When Yau Yau's travel book was published, she asks Lap Man to bring a few copies over to Pong's comic bookstore to give to her old friends. Lap Man told Pong that Yau Yau is interested to rekindle their friendship and asks them not to judge Yau Yau harshly as she is innocent of Hau Ko's misdeeds.

Laughin finally has the complete trust from Hau Ko and is sent to receive drugs. Laughin still does not know where the factory is as he is only tasked to receive the drugs. Someone will be collecting it later on. After receiving the drugs, Laughin realise that he was followed. It was Lap Man! Laughin gave him 2 options; either he dies there and then or Laughin lets him off but he has to kill himself.

Lap Man recovers and looks for Laughin. He thanked Laughin for sparing him his life and says Laughin now owns him. Laughin dares Lap Man to snatch a patrolling police officer's gun. Laughin stopped Lap Man just before Lap Man attacks the officers. The patrolling officer is Chiu Sir who happens to train Laughin in P.T.S! Lap Man was shocked to discover that Laughin used to be in P.T.S but never completed his training and confronts him if he is also an undercover!

Episode 18

Laughin completes the drug task successfully. Hau Ko praises and rewards him for a job well done. Laughin asks Hau Ko why is the whole drug process (from receiving to delivering to making and distributing) so complicated as each step is handled by different persons. Hau Ko explains that this way, no one would actually know where the actual drug making place is except Chung. Even Hau Ko himself doesn't know where the factory is. And the lesser people knows, the safer the factory is.

Lap Man accompanies Yau Yau to a cafe and they bump into Pak Kiu and Yuk Bo. The two friends chat a little when they queue up for their drinks. Lap Man is happy for Pak Kiu that he is now dating Yuk Bo while Pak Kiu praise Yau Yau for being a good girl even though she comes from a family with complicated background.

Yau Yau notices that Yuk bo is reading her travel book and Yuk Bo even asks Yau Yau for autograph. Yau Yau praises "Lucky Prince" and says that he is the perfect gentleman. Yau Yau belittles Lap Man and says he is incomparable to the charming and supportive "Lucky Prince". Yuk Bo encourages Yau Yau to set up a meeting with "Lucky Prince".

Lap Man is sad that Yau Yau criticized him without knowing that he is the actual "Lucky Prince". He goes drinking at Mega and was joined by Laughin. Laughin sends Lap Man home and goes through his computer and finds out that Lap Man is "Lucky Prince". Laughin indirectly hints to Lap Man that if he were to become Yau Yau's boyfriend, he can get closer to Hau Ko and gains his trust faster. It will be easier for Lap man to perform his duties.

Pak Kiu interrogates the head hitter that was caught earlier and finds out who the mastermind is. The mastermind is Lat Kai and he is a triad leader in New Territories. He now wants to expands his base and wants to take half of what Chun Hing has. Pak Kiu is worried that the two triads will clash and there will be chaos soon.

Sam Jie and Yuk Bo go together to fetch Fa Si Lai from the hospital. Yuk Bo wants to pay Sam Jie back for Fa Si Lai's medical expenses but Sam Jie declines. After this tragedy, Fa Si Lai wishes to see Yuk Bo marry and invites Pak Kiu over without Yuk Bo's knowledge. Fa Si Lai hints to Pak Kiu that she hopes Yuk Bo can marry soon and Pak Kiu agrees. However, after dinner, Pak Kiu confesses to Sam Jie that he has no intention to marry yet. Yuk Bo overhears their conversation and is disappointed.

Lat Kai goes and see Hau Ko and demands for a few places under Chun Hing's watch. Hau Ko brushed Lat Kai off but Lat Kai warns that Hau Ko will beg him to take the places in exactly 2 minutes. Two minutes later, a bomb goes off in Mega Disco. Later on there are many bomb threat reports being made. The bombs are placed in the same type of bag as the one that exploded earlier at mega Disco and all over Chun Hing's businesses. Some of the bags contain papers and garbage but the one that Yuk Bo opens contain a real bomb.

Yuk Bo has to hold on to the bomb latch until the bomb expert arrives. Pak Kiu learns of the situation and rushes to be with her. He assures her that he loves her and wants to marry her. It's just that he is worried as all the people he loves tends to leave him one after another, starting from his mother, father and Fiona.

Sam Jie goes to the bomb threat area to check on Yuk Bo and was relieved that She is fine. Sam Jie then receives a call from Jor Lun telling her that he could not pacify Fai Ye and asks for Sam Jie's help. When Sam Jie reaches Jor Lun's place with Hau Ko and Laughin, Jor Lun and Fai Ye was not around so they waited. The maid receives an obscure package and placed it in the hall. The bomb explodes!!!

E.U. Emergency Unit: Episode 13 to 15

Episode 13

Pak Kiu has passed his interview for promotion and now has to return to P.T.S for training before he can officially be an IP (Probationary Inspector of Police). Yuk Bo and Pak Kiu go for their morning run. Yuk Bo notices that Pak Kiu is sad because of Lap Man and buys him breakfast to cheer him up.

Some triad members caused trouble at Lap Man and La Ba's street, where they collect parking fees. It appears the street is under Jor Lun's (a senior level member if Chun Hing) watch. The triad members beat Lap Man and La Ba up, until Lap Man says that he is a follower of Laughin.

Jor Lun then goes to Mega Disco to look for Laughin to settle the matter. Jor Lun challenges Laughin and they could not settle the matter between them. They looked for Hau Ko and Hau Ko award each of them half of what used to be under Tin Chat. Both Laughin and Jor Lun is happy with that solution.

On Pak Kiu's last day with the E.U team, they spot a group of people spraying paint on a glass window. Pak Kiu and the team gave chase. It appears the one Pak Kiu is chasing is Lap Man. They other two violators were caught, but Lap Man managed to escape by jumping off a bridge onto the back of a lorry.

Yuk Bo goes online and bid for a purse for Fa Si Lai. They seller turns out to be Yau Yau. They also shared a taxi to go over to Pak Kiu's place for a party. At the party, Pak Kiu realises that Yau Yau is Kong Sai Hau's daughter and everyone quickly distance themselves from her. They said many unpleasant words and ask Yau Yau to leave immediately. Pong also tells Yau Yau not to show up for work anymore.

Hau Ko finds out that Yau Yau is sad because she lost all her friends. He looks for Lap Man and asks him to befriend Yau Yau again. Lap Man turned down Hau Ko's request but secretly leave messages for Yau Yau on her blog. He advises her to turn her lies into reality. Yau Yau decides to go travelling round the world and visit the places she wrote about in her blog. Sam Jie decides to accompany Yau Yau on her travels.

Episode 14
Approximately, 1 year later

Pak Kiu graduates from P.T.S and is now an Inspector. He has joined O Kei, or Organised Crime and Triads Bureau, under Wu Sir. Pak Kiu's team is focus on crimes which involves the illegal lending of money and loanshark matters.

During a meeting, Pak Kiu receives a report that someone wants to commit suicide because he is harassed by loansharks who sprayed his house with red paint. Yuk Bo's E.U. team was the first to arrive on scene, and later joined by Pak Kiu's team. She advised the victim based on her own experiences and successfully managed to save him. Pak Kiu was impressed with her improvements within this one year.

The victim, Peng, decides to work with the police to nab the loansharks. Pak Kiu gives Peng marked money to be handed over to the loansharks. The loanshark is actually Lap Man. Pak Kiu trailed Lap Man back to an office which is one of their offices and catches him. However, they could not find any evidence to charge Lap Man.

Hau Ko praises Lap Man and Laughin for their quick thinking and smart move. When Lap Man and Laughin realise they were followed, they quickly find ways to throw off the police. Lap Man also "bring" the police to the wrong office, while Laughin gets help to remove evidence from the other office. The police get Peng to identify Lap Man from a line up but he claims he could not recognise anyone. Actually Laughin kidnaps Peng's son so he has to collaborate with Laughin.

Sam Jie and Yau Yau return from their travels. Yau Yau tells Hau Ko that she is now writing a book after a publisher discovers her blog and is interested in her travel stories. She left a note on her blog saying that she will return to her old house to take some photos for her new book as well as to visit La Ba. When Lap Man reads that she will be visiting the next day, he quickly deletes his browser history and cache so that Yau Yau will not find out that he is "Lucky Prince".

Hau Ko accompanies Sam Jie to dinner. The dinner is prepared by the same Chef who taught Sam Jie cooking when she was in France. The Chef even made heart-shaped dessert for Sam Jie and praised her lavishly. When Hau Ko heard their conversation, he was a little jealous.

Laughin encourages Hau Ko to pursue Sam Jie but Hau Ko is reluctant. Laughin suggest to base on the toss of a coin and decides who gets to pursue Sam Jie. Laughin wins. Laughin goes jogging in the morning with Sam Jie and Fai Ye. He tries to test Fai Ye's reaction should Sam Jie re-marry. Fai Ye says it's alright for Sam Jie to remarry but hopes that it won't be Laughin. Laughin sends Sam Jie her favourite flower and confesses his love to her.

Episode 15
Laughin continues to profess his love for Sam Jie and claims that he has been in love with her for 9 whole years. He also reveals to her that many of Tin Ko's romantic gestures were in fact his idea and he was the one who taught Tin Ko how to court Sam Jie. Laughin then tells Sam Jie about the shop which she was suppose to operate with Fa Si Lai; Laughin tells her that he rented the shop for over a year just in case Sam Jie wants the shop again.

Sam Jie was very touched by Laughin's gestures and thoughts. She was in a predicament and shares it with Hau Ko. She tells Hau Ko that there's no doubt that she's touched by Laughin but sadly, she does not feel the same way. She reveals to Hau Ko that she doesn't know how to reject Laughin and Hau Ko promises to help her take care about it and tells her not to worry.

Hau Ko talks to Laughin and tells him to leave Sam Jie alone as she only wants to be friends with Laughin. Laughin says he is not fighting for Sam Jie with Hau Ko, he is merely showing Hau Ko what can be done to woo Sam Jie.

Even though Sam Jie tells Hau Ko to release the shop, Hau Ko goes behind Sam Jie's back and convince Fa Si Lai to start their business. Hau Ko and Fa Si Lai discuss about the operations and renovations but their actions were soon discovered by Sam Jie. Fa Si Lai apologised to Sam Jie and she agrees to start their restaurant business.

There is a new group of thugs called "Head Hitters" where the thug uses a helmet to hit the head of the victim before robbing them. The E.U. team has been notified and was told to be on the look out for any suspicious persons. La Ba was holding a helmet and was stopped by E.U. Lap Man was nearby and came to La Ba's aid. La Ba noticed that there's a few more days to Lap Man's birthday. He buys a cake and brings over to Yau Yau's place. He asks Yau Yau to bring the cake over and celebrate Lap Man's birthday with him. Yau Yau declines initially but goes over on her own. She cooks a meal for Lap Man but he never shows up.

Lap Man spots a "head hitter" and chases the suspect. Police managed to catch the suspect and Lap Man has to give a statement to the police. Pak Kiu stops Lap Man as he was leaving to wish him Happy Birthday but Lap Man was cold towards him. Pak Kiu offers to celebrate with Lap Man but Lap Man refused. He goes home to find the meal cooked by Yau Yau on the table.

Wu Sir calls Lap Man out and gave him a fishing rod for his birthday. Lap Man celebrates his birthday with Wu Sir near a night fishing spot. Coincidentally, Pak Kiu was there too with Yuk Bo. As Pak Kiu was leaving, he saw Wu Sir's car as well as Lap Man on his motorbike. Pak Kiu was suspicious of their relationship and confronts Lap Man.

E.U. Emergency Unit: Episode 10 to 12

Episode 10

Lap Man is suspended of his duties after the police received a snippet of a conversation he had with Hau Ko. His colleagues come over to his house to cheer him up and offer moral support. After they leave, Pak Kiu tell Lap Man that he brings this mess upon himself. If Lap Man had heed his warning and stay away from Hau Ko, Lap Man would not be in this mess. Lap Man is upset with Pak Kiu and leaves the house.

Lap Man goes to the comic place where Yau Yau is working and hang out until closing time. He refuses to go home and ends up staying over at Yau Yau's place instead.

Hau Ko calls for a meeting and propose some changes within the triad. He request that the triad seniors submit their earning reports every month. Tin Chat disagrees with the new rule because he has been spending the triad money for his own benefit.

Due to his "battle" with Tin Chat, Hau Ko decides not to visit Yau Yau for the time being as he is afraid that she might be in danger. Sam Jie visits Yau Yau on his behalf and tells her about it.

Lap Man has been continuously staying at Yau Yau's place. As he is on leave, he offers to help her pose as the lucky prince for her blog content. They pretended to live a life of luxury. However, Yau Yau thinks the content is not interesting enough and suggests that the blog needs more exciting and romance related content.

As Yau Yau was drenched when taking photos for her blog, she falls sick. Lap Man takes care of her and even cooks porridge for her.

Pak Kiu request his superior, Tam Sir (also Lap Man and Pak Kiu's former trainer in PTU), to be Lap Man's defense officer during his hearing. Tam Sir agrees to consider Pak Kiu's request. After the hearing, Lap Man thanked Tam Sir for being his character witness. Tam Sir tells Lap Man that it was Pak Kiu who asked for his help.

Lap Man asks Yau Yau out to celebrate and tells her that he will be moving home soon. Yau Yau is sad when she hears that and drinks a lot. Lap Man sends her home but Hau Ko sees the two of them on the street. Hau Ko warns Lap Man to stay away from Yau Yau.

Wu Sir (formerly NB but now in O-Kei, Organised Crime and Triads Bureau) meet up with Lap Man and asks him to consider being an undercover cop.

Episode 11
Wu Sir asks Lap Man to think it through before agreeing to be an undercover cop as it is a dangerous mission and requires that person to make many sacrifices. If Lap Man agrees, he has to sacrifice his friends, severe ties with them and also give up on his family and love life.

Hau Ko asks Tin Chat for the sum of money he owes Chun Hing but Tin Chat doesn't give a damn. Hau Ko offers to only take back 70% of the money Tin Chat owes but Tin Chat turn a deaf ear to everything Hao Ko says. Hau Ko and Laughin trap Tin Chat is a sauna room and turns up the heat. Tin Chat was stuck in the room and called for help but no one was there. A very dehydrated Tin Chat was finally let out by Laughin. Hau Ko orders Tin Chat to cough up the money or else...

Chiu Sir noticed a suspicious character loitering outside a jewellery store. He decided to check on that person but lost track of the person. Back at the police station, Chiu Sir ran into Pak Kiu and Yuk Bo. He challenged Yuk Bo to a "brick hill" run i.e. running up a hill carrying a bagful of bricks. Pak Kiu encourages Yuk Bo and she accepts the challenge. Halfway up the hill, Yuk Bo felt breathless. Chiu Sir gave her some tips on how to conserve energy while running. Pak Kiu run alongside her to offer support. Finally Yuk Bo managed to reach the finish line seconds ahead of Chiu Sir.

Sam Jie's maid's mother is ill so she took a few days off. Sam Jie goes to the supermarket to get her own groceries and runs into her mother, Fa Si Lai. At first the two of them were quite distant, but when Sam Jie asked Fa Si Lai for cooking tips, they talked more. Fa Si Lai also offered to go over to Sam Jie's place to show her how to cook. During dinner, Fa Si Lai accidentally brings up the past and Sam Jie becomes upset and withdraws to her room.

Pak Kiu and Yuk Bo noticed a man acting strangely, taking photo of a plant. They investigate further and realise that people are stealing plants and selling them off for a good price. While stalking the man, they see Chiu Sir on his brick hill run. The three of them cooperate well and successfully catch the thief. When going down hill, Chiu Sir notice another suspicious man, the same one he saw outside the jewellery shop earlier.

Chiu Sir quickly call for back up. As Pak Kiu's trekking team is nearby, Pak Kiu and Yuk Bo go and help Chiu Sir. Unfortunately, Chiu Sir was discovered and taken as a hostage. The suspicious persons are illegal immigrants and are armed. They opened fire at Pak Kiu and Yuk Bo. In the midst of the shoot-out, Chiu Sir managed to grab the gun of one of the immigrants. It was Yuk Bo who fired the last shot and killed the last immigrant who tried to escape.

On the day of Pak Kiu's interview (for promotion), he received news that Lap Man's internal inquiry is not over. There are new evidence that he had helped Hao Ko to deliver drugs before. The panel is requesting that Pak Kiu testify again. Lap Man asks for a favour from Pak Kiu; hoping that Pak Kiu will help him keep the secret but Pak Kiu believes that he has to tell the truth.

The result of the internal inquiry is out and Lap Man has been sacked from the police force. Lap Man blames Pak Kiu for betraying him and telling on him during the inquiry.

Episode 12

Yau Yau tries to call Lap Man but she could not reach him. She was worried and checks with Pong (her employer and Lap Man's friend). Pong told her that Lap Man has been sacked from the police force. She leaves a message of hope on her blog for "Lucky Prince"

La Ba called Yau Yau and Lap Man to pick him up from prison. Lap Man asks La Ba if there is a need to call both of them to pick him up together. La Ba reasons that he is not sure if either one of them would not turn up and he has no money. Lap Man avoids Yau Yau and acts coldly towards her.

Yau Yau calls Hau Ko out for fishing. Hau Ko is very happy that Yau Yau made the first move to see him. Hau Ko invites Yau Yau to move in with him and Yau Yau accepts. Yau Yau tells Hau Ko about Lap Man's condition and hopes that Hao Ko will help Lap Man. Hau Ko went to look for Lap Man and offers him a position at Mega Disco, but Lap Man declined.

Pak Kiu and Yuk Bo have now rejoined the E.U. team from the trekking division. While on their rounds, they discovered that Lap Man is now working together with La Ba, collecting illegal parking fees on the streets.

Over dinner one night, Sam Jie confesses to Fa Si Lai that she has a dream to open her own dessert shop. Coincidentally, Fa Si Lai also has a dream to open her own restaurant. The mother and daughter decide to open a restaurant together, with Fa Si Lai cooking the dishes and Sam Jie providing dessert. They go scouting for a shop but Fa Si Lai lost her purse. Sam Jie accompanies Fa Si Lai to the police station to report her missing purse.

At the police station, Sam Jie sees Pak Kiu and Yuk Bo receiving compliments for their good action when apprehending To Lik Tin. She quickly walks away and Fa Si Lai chases after her. Yuk Bo knows that Fa Si Lai is at the police station and also follows Fa Si Lai out. Yuk Bo does not want Fa Si Lai to mix with people from the triads even though Fa Si Lai informs Yuk Bo that Sam Jie is a relative of theirs. Sam Jie lied to Yuk Bo that she is her cousin sister to prevent Fa Si Lai from being in an awkward position.

Fa Si Lai secretly goes off to meet up with Sam Jie without Yuk Bo's knowledge. However, Yuk Bo receives a call from the real estate agent and realises that Sam Jie and Fa Si Lai are opening a restaurant together. She goes to Sam Jie's house to confront her. Sam Jie assures Yuk Bo that she would not meet up with Fa Si Lai anymore in the future.

Lap Man and La Ba go to Mega Disco hoping that they would bump into the leaders of Chun Hing. La Ba discovers that Laughin is there to celebrate the birthday of one of his followers. Lap Man and La Ba asks for a chance to wish the birthday boy. Laughin takes the opportunity to humiliate Lap Man and even forces him to take ecstasy pills and drinks lots of alcohol.
