Mooncakes outshines cast of Moonlight Resonance

Part of the cast of Moonlight Resonance (MR) attended a promotional event at a shopping mall recently. Those present include Lee Si Kei, Michelle Yim, Moses Chan, Chris Lai, Tavia Yeung, Ha Yu and Kate Tsui.

The cast played games such as limbo rock and challenged members of the audience to reenact certain scenes from the series. Some of the apparatus/tools used during the event was placed online for bidding by a netizen, proceeds of which will be donated to the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups.

To end the event, the cast distributed mooncakes to those present. There was a mad rush to get to mooncakes, creating a near-chaotic atmosphere. Mall officials, told the crowd to calm down and remain seated as there are elderly folks present and may get hurt in the jostling.

Tavia and Kate distributed mooncakes from the stage and avoid going into the crowd while Lee Si Kei, Chris and Moses passed out the mooncakes directly to the audience. Tavia commented that the scene is very dangerous and the crowd is actually fighting to get the mooncakes. She lamented that even the baskets used to hold the mooncakes are not spared. Tavia joked, "how come the mooncakes are more popular than us? No one called out our names, they only said 'Tavia can you give me a mooncake!' But I have never had so much fun passing out mooncakes, I'm only worried about the elders!"

Moses explained that the packaging of the mooncakes have the words "Moonlight Resonance" in Chinese on it, which makes the mooncakes very special. Lee Si Kei said the mooncakes supply ran out quickly but also expressed her concern for the safety of the elderly.

Susanna Kwan hopes that there'll be a third collaboration with the cast, the first being "Heart of Greed".

Linda Chung, busy as a bee

... or so that's what she claims. Linda's latest series currently airing is "The Legend of the Demigods", which co-stars Benny Chan, Sunny Chan, Stephen Au, Nancy Wu and Halina Tam. Linda attended the promotional event for "The Legend of the Demigods" and shared with reporters that the series ratings average at approximately 27 to 28 points but due to her hectic filming schedule, she has no time to watch the series.

The cast played many games and one of them was to transfer fruits from one end of the table to another without using their hands. Linda and Benny co-operated well, but Linda was also careless to have knocked over a plate of fruits.

Linda mentioned that she recently was in Toronto for a live show, where she had a chance to sing 8 songs. She loved performing on stage and felt as though she was performing at her own concert! However, she decided against singing songs from her own album as the audience may not be familiar yet with her songs. Her album was only release a couple of weeks ago.

Aside from currently filming Dogs on the Beat and busy with the promotion of her album, Linda still squeeze in some time for a few extra shows. Linda says she'll go on a vacation after filming for the series has wrapped to reward herself.

TVB freezes Tracy Ip

Tracy Ip, winner of Miss Hong Kong Pageant in 2005, will be frozen by TVB after the Olympics. Tracy has numerous negative news this year and TVB feels that the news were created so that Tracy will get noticed. Unfortunately, this has back fired and her own image has been ruined. TVB has advised Tracy to be extra careful with her actions but this is not effective. Tracy apparently also used the Beijing Olympics to create news and also for self promotion. All these factors has caused TVB to reach the decision to temporarily freeze Tracy.

Tracy has appeared in many drama series of late, such as Love Exchange, When a Dog loves a Cat and the most recent, Moonlight Resonance as Raymond Lam's on/off girlfriend.

Although many negative news surrounding Tracy have surfaced such as breast enlargements, having undergone plastic surgery, travelling with a mid-aged man on expensive trips, Tracy has not reduced her public appearances. TVB is unhappy because all these negative news have tarnished the image of Miss Hong Kong pageant. TVB was also in the opinion that these news were deliberately created by Tracy and a magazine company. However, Tracy strongly denied that she has any part to play in this issue.

Tracy will not be given any roles in any new drama series, and her job as a host for E-Buzz will also be replaced.

When contacted, TVB executive Virginia Lok neither confirm nor deny that Tracy will be frozen. She has also spoken to Tracy about these negative news.

Virgina said "Tracy hasn't really appeared in many tv series and her main work is unrelated to acting. The programme (E-Buzz ) has been stopped for now, but I have not made further arrangements. Charmaine Sheh, back from a long break

Charmaine Sheh will start filming a drama series with dayo Wong in October. The drama series, tentatively called Business Doctor will be a light-hearted comedy. Dayo's character will be someone who's good as saving businesses that are on the verge of bankruptcy. Charmaine plays his love interest.

This is Charmaine's second collaboration with Dayo, having worked together on Justice Sung 2 previously. And it will also be Charmaine's first attempt at the comedy genre.

Charmaine has recently returned from taking a month long break. This is the longest break she has been on since venturing into the entertainment world.

Charmaine said, "I rested for a month and visited my mum in Hawaii. I still pay attention to the Olympic games, especially gymnastic event. This is because I have practiced on the balance beam before. My biggest dream back then is to do a somersault on the balance beam, but it is really difficult. Therefore I really admired those medalists."

She would also like to meet Yao Ming in person.

Online Poll for Moonlight Resonance

Apple Daily recently started an online poll for TVB hit series, Moonlight Resonance. Categories featured in the online poll include Best Acting, Worst Acting, Most Loved Character, Most Hated Character, among others. The online poll, which is still on-going, sees Raymond Lam lead the Best Acting Category. Raymond, who plays one of the children in Moonlight, polled 1,084 votes followed by Tavia Yeung at 554 votes, as of yesterday. Lee Si Kei is in third place with 483 votes.

On the other end of the stick, Linda Chung was unfortunately voted Worst Actor polling 1685 votes. Newcomer, Vincent Wan, who plays the youngest child, Chung zai, is second at 755 votes while Kate Tsui is third with 271 votes.

As for Most Loved Character, the leader of the pack is Kam Wing Ho (played by Raymond) with 1981 votes, followed by Suen Ho Yuet (played by Tavia) at 612 votes and Yu So Sum (Linda's character) with a mere 293 votes.

Linda's Yu So Sum was also voted Most Hated Character garnering 1471 votes while Chung Siu Sa (Susanna Kwan's character) and Yan Hong (Michelle Yim's character) polled 806 and 500 votes respectively.

Wow, Raymond is doing really well in this series, liked by all (including me). His acting has vastly improved and in addition to that, he's character is a nice person and well loved by many. I'm a little surprised though, what did Linda do that she was voted Most Hated Character? I find her portrayal of Yu So Sum alright, plus she has great chemistry with Raymond.

Some netizens are questioning the timing of the poll as the series has just started and viewers are still familiarising themselves with the character. Some characters haven't even make their appearance and in the case of Kate Tsui, she only had a 5-minute screentime. She was judged based on that 5 minutes? That's puzzling. Perhaps, it's better to run the poll after the series has ended for a fairer result.

Moonlight Resonance - Episode 5

Episode 5 starts with Hor Ma having breakfast with Ka, asking him about Chung. Why is Chung constantly unhappy. Ka says that Chung is like an island, he likes to be alone most of the time. She then ask about Yuen, Ka says he is busy with the opening of one of their shops, but it turned put the shop was already opened a year ago. Ka is really not up to date with his siblings info much to the chagrin of Hor Ma.

Hor Ma asked Ka if he remembers the promise he made when he was young, prior to Hor Ma and Tai Jo's divorce. It turns out that the promise Ka made was to become Hor Ma's spy on Tai Jo's side of the family. She told him that if the judge ask Ka who he prefers living with, he should answer Tai Jo. This is because he's the eldest and Hor Ma wants him to watch over his younger siblings. [Comment: So it turned out that it wasn't a coincidence that he was assigned to Tai Jo!] Ka said that if he were to be a spy (ngo dai) then Hor Ma must forever keep his file, never lose the file that says he is her son!

Sa Yee once again asked Tat Suk to lend her HKD 200,000. She also warned Tat Suk not to let Hor Ma know. She says she needs the money to pay her lawyer fees as the initial sum she borrowed is not enough. [I'm curious why she needs so much money. I wonder if the lawyer reason is actually the truth or a scam...?] Tat Suk also warned Sa Yee not to fight with Yuet anymore. She asked Tat Suk how did they end up adopting Yuet. Yuet is actually the child of one of their neighbours. Her parents left her in Hor Ma's shop to do some errands but they never returned. Tat Suk said Yuet was fair and cute so they applied to social services to adopt her.

After dinner, Yuet feels suffocated staying in the same house as Sa Yee so she went down for a breather. Ho followed her down and shared a funny story about Sa Yee with her to cheer her up. Ho advise her that the cunniving Sa Yee will eventually get the repercussions of her actions. [It's nice to see the siblings' bond. They are really close and and I get all warm and fuzzy seeing them care for one another. ] Yuet is angry with Sa Yee not because Sa Yee called her a "lo lui" but because Sa Yee is spending all of Hor Ma and Tat Suk's hard earned money!

Yuet is considering moving out from Hor Ma's place. She thinking of sharing a place with her boyfriend, Eric. But Eric thinks that they are both not earning enough to be staying on their own. It's better if they continue living at home with their respective families. However, Yuet told him that she's really unhappy staying at home and really wants to move out.

Queenie, one of Hor Ma's neighbours and a bank employee, came to the shop and informed Hor Ma that Tat Suk recently made a withdrawal of HKD 200,000. Upon hearing that, Hor Ma and Ho quickly rush home. Ho asked Tat Suk why did he withdraw the money, but Tat Suk asked him to leave the matter. When Ho keep pressing Tat Suk, he said that the money is his. He can do as he pleases. Hor Ma asked if Tat Suk lend Sa Yee the money, but before Tat Suk can answer, Sa Yee owned up. She says that he husband still has Euro 5,000,000 worth of properties, so he has to share half of that with her. Ho asked her if she can win the case, she insists that the winning chance is over 90%. Tat Suk is confident that Sa Yee won't cheat him of his money!

Yuet also used this opportunity to announce that she is moving out of the house. She says that she'll be sharing a place with her colleague, and the new place is nearer to her work place. Tat Suk, Hor Ma and Ho advised her not to move out, but she is firm with her decision.

After moving out, Yuet only keeps in touch with Hing. They constantly email one another. Hing misses Yuet terribly, no one to chat with at night, no one to share food with. Yuet told Hing that her decision to move out is a correct one as she is now much, much happier. She has to be more frugal - having "2 person 1 pot" steamboat meals with her boyfriend, signing up for gym at HKD 138 for 2 persons and takes advantage of all the gym benefits! Eric is still staying with his parents as they plan to save as much money as possible for their wedding.

Hing told Yuet that Ho is very upset because everytime he calls Yuet, she doesn't pick up the phone. Ho and Hing wanted to visit Yuet but they don't have her address. Yuet told them not to worry. She doesn't pick up Ho's calls because she is afraid that Ho might nag her. Yuet reminded Hing not to let Ho know that she is back together with Eric.

Hing was reading her emails in the room when Sa Yee asked her to help Tat Suk to configure the massage chair. Sa Yee saw the emails and print them out to show the rest of the family. Tat Suk was upset when he saw Eric's photos in the email. Apparently, Yuet and Eric were started dating in high school Eric is overly ambitious and not loyal in their relationship. Eric was also the cause of Yuet not doing well in her university entrance exams.

Sa Yee blamed Ho, questioning him why he didn't watch over his sister. They also discovered that Yuet owes a finance company (but more towards the side of dai yee long) money. Ho asked Hing why did Yuet take a loan from the finance company. Hing was reluctant to reveal the reason but Ho pestered her. The loan is actually for Eric, as he needs money to purchase goods for his boutique. Yuet has settled approximately half of the loan, there's about 10 over installments left. Ho asked Hing for Yuet's address but this time she can't tell because she really doesn't know! She only knows that Yuet stays somewhere in an area called "Kun Tong".

Yuet was upset with Eric as he did not pay the last 3 months installment for their loan. The people from the finance company called her at work and her boss found out about this. Her boss warns her never to let this happen again. Eric was adamant that he is right as he needs the money to buy more goods for his boutique. Also, he blamed Yuet for giving Hor Ma allowance of HKD 2,000 a month. According to Eric, if Yuet didn't give Hor Ma the moeny, they wouldn't have to stinge so much. Yuet was very upset, she stormed off and cried.

Ho was in Kun Tong area and called Yuet. Ho wanted to meet up with her and told her that he'll wait for her no matter how late it is. When she turned around, Eric is back and sings a song to apologise to her. They made up. Yuet then called Ho to cancel their meet-up.

Hing sms Yuet to ask her what happened as she has not been in contact with anyone for them for the past few days. Poor Yuet was fired from her job because the finance company people keep calling her office. Eric also dumped Yuet because she pressured him too much to get married. Hing suggest that they tell Hor Ma everything but Yuet was apprehensive. She doesn't know how to face Hor Ma.

Once again Sa Yee is the culprit. She caught Hing sending sms and snatched the phone from her. Now everyone knows that Yuet is in trouble - that she has broken up with Eric, lost her job and is hunted by the finance company to pay her debt! Hor Ma tried calling Yuet but couldn't get her. Sa Yee called her landlady but her landlady said Yuet has not been home for a few days. The family is now very, very worried about Yuet.

Ho bumped into Sum on the ferry and he told her that Yuet has been missing. She immediately offered to cancel her plans and accompany Ho to look for Yuet. They found Yuet at the gym but Yuet feels ashamed and runs off. Hor Ma even called all of Yuet's friends to look for her. When Ho informed Hor Ma that he has seen Yuet, the whole family (except Sa Yee) rush out of the house to look for Yuet.

As her family was looking for her, Yuet hides in a public phone booth. She listened to all the voicemails left by her family. They were all so worried for her. After searching for a while, Hor Ma spotted Yuet and they were united again!

Back at home, Hor Ma warn Sa Yee never again to refer to Yuet as "lor lui". Hor Ma also reminded Yuet that although Yuet is not her biological child, Yuet has been her family member for over 20 years! She also sounded Ka for failing to watch over his siblings. She then asked all the children to go to their rooms, but Sa Yee told her that there's no shame in teaching her children in front of others.

After hearing what Sa Yee said, Hor Ma proceed to give her a dressing down in front of everyone. Hor Ma called Sa Yee a failure! It seems Hor Ma took Sa Yee's letter from the lawyers to be translated. Sa Yee went nuts, reprimanding Hor Ma for not respecting her privacy. Hor Ma questioned Sa Yee in return, asking her if she actually knows the meaning of "privacy" when she read Hing's emails and sms from Yuet! [Spot on Hor Ma! =D] Hor Ma informed Tat Suk that the success rate of her divorce suit is only 1%. Sa Yee was the only one who's so determined to fight a losing battle! Tat Suk was upset when he heard this and asked Sa Yee how could she spend all his retirement savings.

Too much Olympics?

TVB viewers has been sending overwhelming complaints to TVB because they feel that there is too much Olympic content on the channel. The station has received close to 600 complaints since the Olympics started on August 8, 2008.

Most of the viewers who send in their complaints are fans of drama series, Moonlight Resonance. Moonlight Resonance has been rescheduled to a later time slot to accommodate the Olympic schedule.

On the other hand, the Hong Kong Broadcasting Authority said they have only received 8 complaints to date.

A forum on discussion.com.hk, 60 percent of forumers said that they prefer to watch Moonlight Resonance over Olympic events.

TVB's external affars deputy controller, Tsang Sing-ming said that it is not easy for the station to please all their viewers and they have to juggle between enthusiasm for Olympics (which is held once in 4 years) and the needs of the station's loyal viewers.

Tsang said,""As much as possible, we try to show the events in which China or Hong Kong have a chance of winning medals, as many people want to watch them.

We have also explained before that some programs have had to be rescheduled because our priority is the Olympics.

After all, the Games come once every four years and it is the first time that China is playing host. Showing more Olympic events is more appropriate and I hope our long-time viewers will understand."

Raymond Lam defends Moonlight Resonance against critics

Raymond Lam, who just came back from Malaysia for a promotional event for "Heart of Greed", attended Bridgestone's F1 Girl Car Racing Competition as a guest judge.

Recently, Michael Lai was said to have criticised Moonlight Resonance, saying that the series is primarily targeted at housewives. However, Raymond thinks differently. He says nowadays many young people are also becoming housewives, rushing home to catch the series, chasing new episodes. Raymond also said that the last time he heard people rushing back to watch series was when Heart of Greed was aired.

Raymond is reaping the fruits of his labour. After filming Heart of Greed and Moonlight Resonance, his workload has increased. He has work lined up until January, but Raymond is still modest, saying he needs to work harder as his goal is to buy a house.

Cast of King of Pool appear in full force for blessing ceremony

Adam Cheng's latest collaboration with TVB, King of Pool, had a blessing ceremony last week. The whole cast was there for the ceremony including Niki Chow, Joyce Tang, Derek Kwok and Benz Hui.

Rumoured couple, Joyce Tang and Derek Kwok were as usual in the spotlight. However, they go about their business as per normal and ignored the gossips and teasing. They even stand side by side when taking photos.

When asked if their love story has surfaced, Joyce replied that she would need a lover to appear first but she is currently not seeing anyone.

Moonlight Resonance - Episode 4

Yan Hong knows that she's in trouble when Nien Tze Yong revealed that she had an affair with Tai Jo even before Chuen committed suicide. She knows she has got to act fast to salvage her spot in the family. At breakfast, Yan Hong voluntarily appologise to the whole family, in particular the children, saying that she's the wrong party and hope to get their forgiveness.

Hor Ma is worried about Chung. She asked Ka about Chung but Ka said nothing is wrong. Ka also informed Hor Ma that Chung will return to Manchester that same night. Hor Ma get Ho to drive her to the airport. She managed to reach before Chung flies off but Chung is with Lai and Yan Hong, so Hor Ma spoke to him ont he phone instead.

Sa Yee blamed Yuet for taking up a "placement" as one of Hor Ma's children that she has custody of. Sa Yee says that Yuet is only a lo lui (cantonese for adopted daughter), and if Yuet isn't around, Hor Ma would have been given custody of her three biological children. But because Hor Ma has custody of Yuet, so Hor Ma can only take 2 of her biological children leaving Tai Jo with 3 biological children. In Sa Yee's eyes, Hor Ma lost to Tai Jo over an adopted child.

Yuet was hurt by Sa Yee's words and this lead to them having a huge arguement. Hor Ma then have a talk with Yuet and Hing, tell them to bear with Sa Yee as she is family.

Ho is on the look out for office jobs again for Hing. He convinced Hing to attend the interview but Hing is initially reluctant, but he finally succeeded. Hing asked Ho to buy her new clothes for the job interview and he agreed.

On the day of the interview, Ho send sms to Hing to ask her about the interview. Hing reassured him that she is fine. It turns out that Hing actually did not attend the interview and she was instead pushing the trolley cart after delivering mooncakes. Coincidentally, Ho was at the same street as her. Needless to say, they saw each other!

Sa Yee took Tat Suk to a coffeeshop and ask to borrow HKD 400,000 from him. Although Tat Suk was skeptical and a little reluctant, he finally gave in to her demands. He went to the bank to withdraw the money but bumped into Yuet there. Yuet was shocked that Tat Suk needs so much money. She quickly informed Hor Ma.

Hor Ma question Sa Yee but Sa Yee refused to reveal the reason she needs so much money. She insist that it's her privacy and there isn't a need for her to tell them the reason. Tat Suk didn't want the family to misunderstand Sa Yee so he explained to them. Aparently, Sa Yee needs the money for her lawyer fees in Portugal. She wants to sue her ex-husband for alimony and part of the divorce settlement as he was the one who cheated on her. In the end Hor Ma decides to share the HKD 400,000 with Tat Suk, so each of them lend HKD 200,000 to Sa Yee.

Sum dropped by Hor Ma's bakery to tell Hing that she found a job for Hing. The employer knows that Hing is mute but he doesn't mind. The whole family encourage Hing to attend and this time she really did attend. Ho went with her to act as her interpreter. During the interview, the interviewer asked Hing to share with them he likes and dislikes. She told them what she really wants to do is to be able to laugh, literally laugh out loud. She says that even she if laughs, there's no sound and she feels ashamed. And its the same when she cries, there is no sound. So even if she is really sad, she won't cry. She told them that Ho really loves her and knows what's going through her mind. He's the one who understands her best. She ends the interview by asking them to give her a chance as she really likes the job.

On her first day of work, Hing meets up with Yuet for lunch as their offices are nearby. Hing told Yuet that her colleagues are busy and she feels useless. Yuet told her that she has to take the initiative to help out. She approached her colleague, Kelvin, to ask if there's anything she can do. He needs someone to send some drafts to a client's place and Hing offered to do that. She convinced Kelvin that she can do it. Kelvin agreed to let her try.

Hing has to deliver the drafts by 5.30 pm and the time she left office was already 5.10pm and she was stuck in the jam. The taxi driver told her it would be faster if she walked there. So she walked... but the inevitable happened. She got lost. She quickly sms-ed Ho to ask for help. Ho together with Hor Ma and Hor Ma's si lai friends managed to help Hing reach her destination. But she was late! Luckily the client was forgiving. They appreciate Hing's efforts and thanked her for a job well done.

Dogs on the Beat: Steven and Linda faces challenges

Recently the cast of "Dogs on the Beat" Steven Ma, Linda Chung, Kent Cheng, Maggie Siu and Koni Lui attended the costume fitting for the drama.

Steven will be portraying a character that comes from a village. His character is someone who is abrasive, perverted, loves pornographic magazines and enjoys ogling at big chested women. Steven thinks that his role is the drama will be a challenge as he has previously played characters who are polite and well-mannered. Steven will be paired with Linda Chung.

Linda Chung's character is a tomboy, but she will change midway through the series and become a beautiful swan. Reporters asked if she is worried about having to portray such character as her fans may not like it, but Linda says it is alright as she can show the audience a different side of her.

The storyline for the drama was unfortunately not revealed. This is the second time Linda and Steven pair up as a couple. Previously they were paired up in A Journey Called Life.

Synopsis:
Pang Kam Chau used to work as a parallel importer, but his girlfriend has taken everything away from him. He needs to rebuild his career as he has nothing left. He tries to gain the trust of a soccer team leader, Fan Tai Wai through trickery and dubious means. This leads to Chau being hired as the Operation Director of the Soccer Team with Wai's assistance. Chau promised that he will help the players to achieve good results in their coming examination.

Chau uses unconventional teaching techniques, encouraging his students to hang around bars and pubs and actively pursue girls. Needless to say, their results were disastrous. When the soccer team's sponsor, Ching Kwok Chu found out about this, he tries to hire a well known tutor, Yim Ka Lai to tutor the students. Lai's teaching techniques are different from Chau's and this leads to numerous arguments and fights between the two of them.

The soccer team's academic performance fluctuates and Chau soon realises that Wai's son, Fan Pui Ting, is talented and has lots of potential. Thus, Chau pays special attention to Ting. At the same time, Chu, the soccer team's sponsor lost the control of the team to his younger brother. Chu is determined to revenge and seeks the help of Lai. Chu asks Lai to mess up the team. Chau is enraged when he learns about this. He then reveal the secret relationship Chu and Lai had. All of a sudden, Lai flawless tutorial career is in jeopardy.

A Pillow Case of Mystery 2: Bobby Au Yeung was seduced!

And who's the one doing all the seducing job? None other than his talented co-star, Jessica Hsuan. Both were filming an intimate bed scene for the series where by Jessica had to lie on the bed, unbutton her upper garment and reveal her legs. Bobby character's reaction was apparently seduced for he ended up with nose bleed. but not to worry as the nose bleed was also part of the scene. The fake blood was made from honey mixed with some food colouring.

Both were speaking to reporters at the blessing ceremony for the series.

Moonlight Resonance - Episode 3

There's bad news for Hor Ma's side of the family. Ho received a phone call and was informed that they no longer get to eat their much awaited reunion dinner on the actual day. Tat Suk was extremely disappointed but Hor Ma assured him that she'll find a way to solve whatever problem there is and promised him that he'll get his wish.

It seems that Lai had a change of heart and didn't want her grandchildren to go ver to the other side. She was watching tv when she suddenly think of her deceased son, Chuen (Tai Jo's younger brother). She has always hold Hor Ma responsible for Chuen's death and thus, she wants to exert her revenge by disallowing her grandchildren from having their Mid-Autumn reunion dinner.

Flashback scene: Lai is in the hospital, she has some heart problems. The whole family is there with her including Chuen. Chuen then ask Hor Ma to leave the room as he wants to have a word with her. He apparently wants to borrow money from Hor Ma but she turned him down. She has already lent him money many times before and says she doesn't have anymore to spare. Chuen claims that he has large debts to settle and if he can't get any money, he threatens to commit suicide. Hor Ma is still adamant that she does not have any money to lend Chuen at the same time telling him that she has heard his empty threats many times before. Unfortunately, this time it's the real deal. Chuen did commit suicide, he jumped off a building.

Nien Tze Yong was summoned to see Yan Hong. It appeared that Nien Tze Yong is thinking of jumping ship over to another bakery but was found out by Yan Hong. Yan Hong immediately fired Nien Tze Yong and warn all bakeries not to hire him. Should anyone hire Nien Tze Yong, that would mean they are trying to find trouble with Yan Hong.

Nien Tze Yong is jobless and he has to take care of his sister. The only person that can help him is Hor Ma but he is ashamed of what he did previously. It was Hor Ma who prodded him and ask him to tell her his problems. Hor Ma decided to hire Nien Tze Yong!

Upon learning that Hor Ma has in fact dared to hire Nien Tze Yong, Yan Hong immediately told Yuen and Chung that they do not have to go over for reunion dinner anymore. She insist that Hor Ma does not respect her so she doesn't have to return the favour. Hor Ma quickly called Tai Jo's mobile to speak to Yan Hong. They had a war of words which was won by Hor Ma. Hor Ma lied that she hired Nien Tze Yong as an odd-job worker which she can fire anytime. She just need him temporarily as she has back problems. Yan Hong agree to let the children go back for reunion again when Hor Ma falsely promised her that she will fire Nien Tze Yong the very moment her back heals.

Sum knows that all the children will be attending the reunion dinner with Hor Ma's family. She also considers herself part of the family as she is Chau. She knew that Yan Hong wouldn't allow her to attend so she bluffed Yan Hong, saying that she will be celebrating Mid-Autum festival with her friends. During dinner, Yan Hong called Sum to check on her. Coincidentally, in the background, Ka and Ho were playing some guessing game when someone shouted "Hor Ma's hand"! Yan Hong heard that and she was unhappy. She quickly called Tai Jo to ask if they have finished eating and say that since she and Lai is nearby the restaurant they will drop by to pick them up. Tai Jo said he will meet them outside but when Lai asked Yan Hong, she twisted her words and told Lai that Tai Jo will need to spend more time there. This caused Lai to be angry as well. They stormed up to the restaurant!

As Nien Tze Yong was there with them, Tai Jo quickly asked Sum and Nien Tze Yong to leave quickly, but they met at the door. Lai demanded that she Tai Jo and the children leave immediately as they already spent a "long" time for dinner. Hor Ma as Lai to allow them to finish their dinner as they only have 3 more dishes to go. Yan Hong said that it is her duty, as Lai's daughter-in-law, to help Lai take the children home. Yan Hong also blamed Hor Ma for not keeping her promised (Hor Ma promised to fire Nien Tze Yong) but Hor Ma told Yan Hong, that it was Yang Hong who never kept her promise.

When Yan Hong came to work for Hor Ma innitially, she vowed that she will treat Hor Ma as her sister for the rest of her life, but she didn't do it. Yan Hong was left speechless at Hor Ma's statement, but Lai stand up for Yan Hong. Lai scolded Hor Ma again for causing her younger son, Chuen's death and claimed that Tai Jo also put the blame on her. She said the reason Tai Jo divorced Hor Ma had nothing to do with Yan Hong but because Tai Jo could no longer sleep on the same bed as the person who indirectly kill his brother.

Hor Ma says that she'll have to carry the burden of causing Chuen's death to her deathbed but she also questioned Tai Jo and Lai's responsibility in the matter. They never helped Chuen and Chuen constantly seek Hor Ma's help instead of his own mother and brother.

Nien Tze Yong could not longer contain his anger and blurt out that it wasn't Hor Ma who caused Chuen's death. Nien Tze Yong said that Chuen gambled in Macau the night before he died and he won big. He managed to settle all his debts with money to spare. The reason Chuen commited suicide was because his girlfriend, Lulu has dumped him and left with another man! Nien Tze Yong also spilled the beans that a year before Chuen's death, Tai Jo already started his affair with Yan Hong. (Tai Jo always use the excuse that Hor Ma caused Chuen's death, so they can't be together!)

Lai then summoned all the grandchildren on her side to leave with her but Yuen and Chung both voiced out that they want to finished their reunion dinner with Tat Suk.
